1. Place Your Order
Choose your Camilla Traditional Outdoor Sauna (3‑4 person) and any optional upgrades (heater model, glass door/front wall, LED lighting, accessories such as bucket & ladle, head‑rests). Complete your order through our website, providing your delivery address and selecting your preferred delivery window. You will receive a confirmation email immediately with your order details, estimated delivery timeframe, and any next steps.
Since this is a made-to-order product and a large one, please send us a detailed video of your home and the surrounding space where you would like the sauna to be delivered and placed. This allows us to confirm that the delivery truck and unloading equipment can safely access your property. We also ensure the sauna is placed in the correct location at delivery, if you decide to hire our team to unload and place your product for you.
2. Order Processing & Manufacture
Once your order is confirmed, we schedule production of your sauna. The Camilla Traditional is handcrafted from premium Thermowood, selected for its durability, visual appeal, and excellent thermal performance. The sauna shell, benches, and other components are manufactured, inspected, and packed for dispatch.
3. Delivery Organisation
When your unit is ready, we arrange delivery of the flat‑pack components on a pallet to your address (kerbside). You will be notified of a delivery date and time, as well as any logistical requirements (e.g., an accessible driveway and unloading space).
We deliver your product straight from the manufacturer to your doorstep to minimise carbon emissions and avoid double shipping; therefore, unloading is not included in the delivery price. If you would like our team to assist with unloading, this service is available for an additional fee.
4. Pre‑Installation Preparation
Before delivery, you should prepare the site:
Ensure the base is fully level and strong enough to support the sauna’s weight (approx. 600 kg when empty) plus the occupants.
Clear the access route and delivery area so the pallet can be brought in and components unloaded without obstruction.
Electrical preparation is your responsibility. Arrange a qualified electrician ahead of time. The heater for this sauna typically ranges — for example, the standard 6 kW unit is recommended for a volume of 5.5 m³. It may require a dedicated supply (single‑ or three‑phase), correct cable sizing, and an isolator.
Review the assembly manual in advance (provided with your order) and ensure you have any required tools and manpower lined up.
5. Delivery & Unloading
On the scheduled delivery day, the pallet containing your sauna components will arrive. You will need to unload the pallet (either manually or via a pump truck/trolley, if available) and move the components to your designated base area. Once unpacked, check that all parts are present and undamaged. Report any missing or faulty components within 24 hours of delivery to preserve your warranty eligibility.
6. Installation / Assembly
Professional Installation: If you opt for our installation service, our team of carpenters will assemble the barrel sauna in one full day (for a stated cost starting at approximately £1,000 + VAT, depending on location).
Self‑assembly (flat‑pack): Follow the detailed instruction manual to assemble the sauna. If you’re handy, this task could take a few days; our team estimates that one week is typical, unless you have prior carpentry experience.
Use a correctly rated isolator switch.
Ensure wiring and cable size comply with UK electrical regulations (such as BS 7671);
The heater draw for a 6 kW unit at 230 V single-phase is approximately 26 amps; cable sizing and supply type can vary depending on the run length and phase.
Provide your electrician with the heater manufacturer’s manual so they understand the wiring instructions and safe connection requirements.
7. Finishing Touches & Safety Check
Once the sauna is assembled:
Immediately apply a breathable oil‑based finish to the interior and exterior wooden surfaces. This is mandatory for validating your warranty.
Check that the structure is level, doors and windows operate smoothly, and ventilation is installed as specified.
After your electrician has completed the wiring, perform a first warm‑up test — the sauna should reach its target temperature efficiently (e.g., ~80 °C).
Ensure that all electrical work is complete, safe, and that all required certifications and inspections have been obtained.
8. Enjoy Your Sauna & Support
Now you’re ready to relax! Step into your Camilla sauna and enjoy the L-shaped bench layout, glass door feature, optional LED lighting, and the crafted Thermowood interior.
Please remember:
Because you self‑assembled, your warranty is 1 year.
Improper or uncertified electrical installations may void the warranty; therefore, all electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
If any components are missing upon delivery, you must report them within 24 hours. For any assistance or replacement parts, our support team is ready to help.
Please review the Returns and Refunds Policy to understand how it applies to made-to-order products.
