Hyperbaric Chambers

The choice depends on your required pressure level and budget:

• Soft Shell Chambers: These are portable, inflatable "pods" made from high-strength, non-toxic TPU materials. They typically operate at 1.3 ATA to 1.5 ATA. They are affordable, easy to set up at home, and ideal for general wellness, anti-ageing, and mild recovery.
• Hard Shell Chambers: These are rigid units constructed from stainless steel, aluminium, or polycarbonate. They can withstand much higher pressures, typically 1.5 ATA to 2.0 ATA. This higher pressure drives more oxygen into the body, making them the preferred choice for athletes, deep tissue recovery, and chronic conditions.

 Not necessarily "better," but different.

• 1.3 ATA: Ideal for "maintenance" and wellness. It increases oxygen absorption enough to reduce inflammation and boost energy without putting significant stress on the body.
• 1.5 ATA – 2.0 ATA: Higher pressure follows Henry's Law, dissolving significantly more oxygen into the blood plasma. This is often required for penetrating deep tissues (like bone or tendons) or for managing more stubborn chronic issues. Hard shell chambers are required to safely reach these higher levels.

No. Neither our soft nor hard shell systems use compressed oxygen tanks, which can be a fire hazard.

• How it works: You breathe concentrated oxygen (90–96%) through a face mask or headset. This oxygen is generated in real-time by a medical-grade Oxygen Concentrator that sits outside the chamber. The chamber itself is pressurised with standard filtered air, ensuring the environment inside remains safe and fire-retardant.

 Manufacturers of both types have designed them to minimise this feeling:

• Soft Shells: Feature multiple transparent viewing windows and are often spacious enough to sit up or lie down comfortably. You have full control of the pressure release valve from the inside, so you can exit anytime.
• Hard Shells: Often feature large sliding glass doors or are made of fully transparent polycarbonate, providing 360-degree visibility. They are essentially "furnished rooms" with seats and intercoms, feeling much less confined than a soft pod.

We generally recommend ground floor installation for hard shell units.

• Weight: Hard shell chambers are heavy (often 150kg to 400kg). You must ensure your floor structure can support this static load.
• Access: While soft shells can be folded into a bag, hard shells are rigid. You need to ensure you have wide door access (typically 80cm+) to get the unit into the building.
  
  

• For Soft Shells: Consider your height and mobility. If you struggle to get up from the floor, a "vertical" or "wheelchair accessible" model may be better than a standard "lying down" cylinder.
• For Hard Shells: These are generally easier to enter (step-in). If you plan to spend long sessions (60–90 mins) inside, a hard shell with an upright chair and room for a laptop is often more comfortable for passing the time.

• Soft Shells: These can become warm due to body heat and the physics of compressing air. We recommend using them in a cool room or attaching the optional air cooler unit.
• Hard Shells: Most of our rigid chambers are compatible with integrated air conditioning systems. This allows you to set a precise temperature (e.g., 20°C), which is highly recommended for longer sessions at higher pressures (2.0 ATA).

Consistency is key to seeing benefits.

• Protocol: Most users start with a "loading phase" of 4–5 sessions per week for the first month.
• Maintenance: After the initial phase, many users drop down to 2–3 sessions per week to maintain their energy levels and recovery benefits.
• Duration: A standard session is typically 60 to 90 minutes.
