By utilising Thermo-Pine—timber modified at high temperatures—this sauna offers significantly improved resistance to moisture, decay, and dimensional movement compared to standard spruce. With its integrated 60cm canopy and panoramic rear window, the Kaski is a masterclass in outdoor wellness.

• The Material: Thermo-Pine: Unlike standard timber, Thermo-Pine has been thermally treated to remove resins and moisture. This results in a material that is hypoallergenic, has 25% better insulation properties, and remains dimensionally stable in extreme weather.
• The Panoramic Rear View: Designed to bridge the gap between the heat and the horizon, the large rear window creates an expansive, high-luxury feel within the barrel.
• The Canopy: A 60cm external porch that provides a sheltered transition zone, protecting the entrance and offering a space to cool down between sessions.

The Kaski View is optimised for rapid heat-up times and excellent "löyly" (steam) distribution.

• Experience: High-amperage performance with manual precision. The 9.0kW output ensures the 7.2 m³ volume reaches 80°C+ rapidly, even in winter.
• Proposal 2: The Traditionalist (Wood-Burning)
• Heater: Harvia Wood-Burning Stove + Chimney Kit + Protective Bedding.
• Experience: The ultimate off-grid luxury. The thermal stability of the Thermo-Pine walls perfectly complements the intense, dry heat of a wood fire.

• The Delivery: Dispatched as a Flat-Pack Kit on a single oversised pallet (approx. 2.4m length).
• Offloading: Gross weight is approx. 680 kg. Delivery is via a standard tail-lift vehicle. The drop-off area must be a flat, hard-standing surface (tarmac/concrete).
• 24-Hour Glass Audit: The Half Panoramic Rear Window and Glass Door are high-value components. You must inspect these for any micro-fractures within 24 hours of receipt.

The provision of a safe, compliant electrical supply is the sole responsibility of the property owner.

• The Load: The 9kW heater requires a dedicated 40-Amp supply.
• The Professional Rule: You must appoint a qualified, registered electrician. Always defer to their judgment on cable thickness (SWA) and the total capacity of your home’s electrical system.
• Material Integrity: All internal wiring (including the optional LED kit) must use SiHF-JB high-temperature silicone cable (180°C). Standard wiring will melt and off-gas.

• Warranty: 2-Year Comprehensive Structural & Hardware Warranty.

Infrastructure Standards for Harvia Kaski View 240 Canopy

IMPORTANT ADVISORY: The provision of a safe and compliant electrical supply is the sole responsibility of the property owner. This document is a technical specification for guidance only. You must appoint a qualified, registered electrician to assess, plan, and execute all electrical works. You must always defer to your electrician’s professional judgment regarding local wiring regulations, safety standards, and the specific load capacity of your property’s electrical system.

The Kaski View 240 is a premium structure with a 7.2 m³ thermal volume. To maintain the luxury "high-heat" experience expected from a Thermo-Pine sauna, the electrical supply must be consistent and robust.

• System Draw: Approximately 39.1 Amps (at 230V, Single Phase).
• Circuit Protection: Requires a dedicated 40-Amp Type B RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent).
• Technical Note: Your electrician will utilise a Type B breaker to manage the resistance characteristics of the stainless steel heating elements, ensuring the sauna can reach its 90°C+ peak without nuisance tripping.
• Load Assessment: A 39A draw represents a significant portion of a standard domestic supply. Your electrician must verify that your Main Service Fuse can support this alongside other high-load infrastructure (such as EV chargers or heat pumps).

• Primary Supply: We recommend SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cable for the run from your consumer unit to the sauna’s external isolator.
• Voltage Drop & Distance: Because the Kaski is often located in a scenic, remote part of a garden, the distance of the cable run is critical.
• Your electrician must calculate the correct cable cross-section (e.g., 6mm² or 10mm²) to prevent voltage drop. If the voltage drops due to an undersised cable, the 9.0kW heater will lose efficiency, resulting in longer heat-up times.
• Safety Isolation: A weatherproof rotary isolator switch must be installed on the exterior of the sauna or an adjacent post for emergency shut-off and safe maintenance.

Thermo-Pine saunas achieve very high ambient temperatures. The internal environment is unforgiving to standard electrical materials.

• Internal Wiring: All wiring inside the barrel—including the feed for the optional LED atmosphere kit—MUST use SiHF-JB Silicone Cable (rated to 180°C).
• The Danger of PVC: Standard "Arctic" or domestic PVC cables will degrade, crack, and off-gas toxic chlorides when exposed to sauna temperatures. Use of non-silicone cabling will void all hardware warranties and pose a severe fire risk.

If you have opted for the Wood-Burning Stove proposal, your electrical requirements are significantly reduced:

• Lighting Only: The electrician will only need to provide a low-amp (e.g., 6A) circuit for the LED atmosphere lighting.
• IP Rating: All components must be rated for high-humidity, outdoor environments.

• The Certification: To validate the hardware warranty, the installation must be signed off by a qualified, registered professional. You must retain the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC).
• Pathway A (Professional Install): Our installation team will mount the heater and pull the internal silicone "tails." Your appointed electrician is responsible for the final "live" connection to your power source and the testing of safety breakers.
• Pathway B (Independent Install): The customer's electrician assumes full responsibility for all internal and external wiring, component mounting, and safety testing.

Engineering Standards for Thermo-Pine Structures and 1-Tonne Load Management

The Kaski View 240 Canopy is a high-performance wellness structure. Its integrity relies on a "tension-and-balance" system. Because Thermo-Pine has a lower moisture content than standard timber, it is exceptionally stable, but it must be handled with specialised care during assembly to prevent splintering or misalignment.

The foundation is the most critical factor in Kaski’s long-term performance. We do not build for the dry weight; we build for the maximum operational mass.

• The Load Audit:  
• Hardware/Stones: 40 kg
• Structure: 642 kg
• 4 Occupants: 340 kg
• Total Foundation Requirement: 1,022 kg (1.02 Tonnes)
• The "Safe-Side" Mandate: We require a 100mm–150mm Reinforced Concrete Pad or a Structural-Grade Timber Deck.
• The Levelling Protocol: The three cradle supports must sit on a surface that is level to within 2mm.
• Pathway A Responsibility: Our team will verify the level before beginning. If the base is out of tolerance, assembly will be paused until it is rectified to prevent the glass door from binding.
• Pathway B Responsibility: The customer must provide photographic proof of a level, load-bearing base. Failure to provide a level surface is the primary cause of panoramic window leaks.

The Kaski View 240 is delivered as a Flat-Pack Kit on a single oversised pallet.

• Offloading: The gross crate weight is approx. 680 kg. Delivery is made via a standard tail-lift vehicle with a pallet truck.
• Surface Requirement: The drop-off point must be flat, hard-standing (tarmac/concrete). Pallet trucks cannot operate on gravel or grass.
• The 24-Hour Audit: Thermo-Pine and Glass are premium materials.
• Both Parties: You must unbox and inspect the Panoramic Rear Window and Glass Door within 24 hours of receipt. Any micro-fractures must be reported immediately to validate a transit-damage claim.

Thermo-Pine is "dimensionally stable," meaning it will not warp as much as spruce, but it is more brittle.

• Stave Seating: Staves must be seated using a rubber mallet and the provided knocking block.
• Pathway A: Our installers use specialised techniques to ensure "zero-gap" seating without marring the premium Thermo-Pine finish.
• Pathway B: Great care must be taken not to over-strike the staves, as the lower moisture content of Thermo-Pine makes the "tongue" of the joint more prone to splitting if forced.
• The Stainless Steel Hoops: The hoops provide the circumferential tension that holds the 1,022kg load together.
• The Post-Install Tension Rule: As the sauna undergoes its first 5 "heat-cool" cycles, the wood will settle.
• Pathway A: We provide the initial tensioning and a briefing on how to check the hoops.
• Pathway B: The customer must re-tighten the hoops after the first 4 weeks of use. Failure to do so will void the structural warranty.

• Roofing: The bitumen shingles must be installed immediately following the completion of the barrel shell to protect the top-facing staves.
• External Sealing: Although Thermo-Pine is rot-resistant, it will "silver" in UV light. To maintain the deep aesthetic and the 2-year warranty, a UV-resistant wood oil must be applied to the exterior within 7 days.

At Balance Recovery, we supply premium Harvia products built to order. Because Harvia items are manufactured specifically to each customer's requirements, our returns and refunds policy reflects their specialised, made-to-order nature. Your statutory rights are preserved in full throughout.

1. Eligibility — The Made-to-Order Nature of Your Purchase

• Made to Order: Harvia products are made to order and enter production once your order is confirmed.
• Non-Refundable Once Production Begins: Because each item is commissioned specifically for you, orders are non-refundable once production has begun. We cannot accept returns or refunds for a "change of mind" from that point.
• Special Orders, Saunas and Hot Tubs: Special orders, saunas and hot tubs are non-returnable unless under warranty.
• Accuracy: Please verify all site dimensions, specifications and technical requirements before finalising your order.

2. Order Cancellations and Amendments

• Cancellation Window: You may cancel or amend your order at any time before production begins.
• Once Production Begins: After production has started, the order is non-refundable and cancellations cannot be facilitated.
• Accuracy Check: Amendments after order placement are subject to confirmation and may not be possible once your specification has been released to manufacture.

3. Reporting Transit Damage or Missing Items

• Inspect on Delivery: Check all items carefully as soon as they arrive, and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork.
• Timeframe: Report any transit damage or missing parts promptly — within 24 to 48 hours of delivery.
• Evidence: Email contact@balancerecovery.co.uk with clear photographic or video evidence of the damage or shortage, together with your order details.

4. Claim and Assessment Procedure

• Submission: Send your report, proof of purchase and delivery date, and supporting photographs or video to contact@balancerecovery.co.uk.
• Assessment: We assess each claim and, where required, liaise with the manufacturer to confirm the fault or shortage.
• Outcome: Once assessed, we coordinate the appropriate remedy — repair, replacement of parts, full replacement or refund — in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Refund and Replacement Conditions

• Covered Circumstances: Refunds or replacements are provided only where goods are defective, damaged in transit or not as described.
• Not Covered: Change of mind, incorrect measurement or specification supplied by the customer, and normal characteristics of natural materials are not grounds for return once production has begun.
• Remedy: Where a valid fault is confirmed, we arrange repair, replacement or refund as appropriate under your statutory rights.

6. Statutory Rights and Compliance

• Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: Bespoke and made-to-order goods are legally exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period for distance selling.
• Consumer Rights Act 2015: Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Your statutory rights for faulty, damaged-in-transit or misdescribed goods remain fully protected, regardless of the made-to-order exemption above.
