The Supply You Need Depends on Your Chosen Heater
There is no single electrical requirement for the Else Grand — it depends entirely on the heater you configure. Every electric heater offered for the Else Grand is a higher-output unit (9–10.8 kW), and heaters at this rating — together with all HUUM electric heaters — are wired as a dedicated three-phase 400 V (3N~) hard-wired supply. A wood-burning Else Grand needs no electrical supply to the heater at all (only a flue and building-control sign-off). The optional hybrid infrared radiators run on a 230 V supply.

The exact fuse, cable, RCD/earth-leakage and clearance requirements for your unit are given in the chosen heater's own manual (see Heater Information) — always follow that document. Celsium does not publish a single supply spec for the Else Grand.
How to Read the Supply
As a rough guide, current (amps) = power (watts) ÷ voltage (volts). A 10.8 kW heater on a single 230 V line would draw roughly 47 A (10,800 ÷ 230) — impractical for a domestic radial — which is why the Else Grand's 9–10.8 kW heaters run on a three-phase 400 V supply, spreading the load across three lines to about 13–16 A per phase (hence the 3 × 16 A fuse). Lower-output heaters can sometimes run single-phase, but every electric heater offered for the Else Grand is a higher-output, three-phase unit.
Installation Requirements (customer's responsibility)

All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician and certified to BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).

The heater must be on its own dedicated radial circuit, hard-wired (not a plug-and-socket connection).

Provide appropriate RCD/RCBO protection and a local isolator switch at the heater, as specified in the heater manual.
- Use heat-resistant cable as specified by the manufacturer — HUUM and Saunum require heat-resistant rubber cable (e.g. SIHF / H07RN-F); PVC is not permitted.

Electrical supply provision and installation are the customer's responsibility; we provide the relevant heater manuals in advance so your electrician can prepare the correct cabling and protection.
