The Exterior: Classic Elegance Meets Natural Harmony
To ensure the structure complemented the lush, natural greenery of the garden, the exterior was crafted from durable Thermowood and finished in a custom, beautifully muted mid-grey paint.
Traditional Touches
An old-school, vintage-style lamp was mounted beside the door, casting a warm, welcoming glow and grounding the modern build with a charming, traditional feel.
The Wraparound Pathway
We designed an extended, custom wooden floor front that wraps elegantly around the structure, creating a dedicated, clean pathway directly to the sauna.
A Private Cool-Down Entrance
This wraparound decking leads to a thoughtfully placed private entrance. After a long, deep sweat, the client can step right out into the cool evening air for a refreshing outdoor cool-down, in complete privacy.
The Interior: Warmth, Space, and Fluted Details
Stepping inside, the interior continues the theme of simple, highly effective luxury. The walls, floor, and ceiling are entirely clad in natural Thermowood, filling the space with the rich, earthy aroma of a traditional Finnish sauna.
Horizontal Fluting
To give the walls a unique architectural touch, we utilised horizontal fluted slats. This bespoke detailing visually elongates the room and perfectly complements the seating's clean lines.
Spacious 'I' Benches
The seating features elegant, straight-line "I-benches" arranged across two levels. This layout comfortably accommodates up to six people at maximum capacity, while providing an incredibly spacious, uncrowded experience for four.
The Heart of the Sanctuary: The Harvia Clindro PC90
To power this daily retreat, the client selected the 9kW Harvia Clindro PC90. This is a phenomenal choice for a bespoke outdoor sauna and acts as the stunning centrepiece of the room.
The Pillar Design
The Cylindro is a tall, elegant pillar heater holding a massive volume of sauna stones. Its sleek, open-casing design perfectly mirrors the room's vertical lines, standing proudly against the natural Thermowood.
Tailored Heat (Löyly)
Because the stones are exposed all the way down the side, the client has ultimate control over their experience. They can throw water on the side of the heater for a soft, gentle, and lingering steam, or pour it directly on top for a sharp, intense traditional heat.
Sensory Immersion: Lighting and Sound
To elevate this space from a standard sauna to a true luxury wellness facility, we focused heavily on the sensory environment.
Sunset Ambience
Optional warm LED lighting was seamlessly integrated beneath the benches. As the sun sets outside, these lights cast a soft, ambient glow across the floor, transforming the room into a deeply therapeutic, shadowy haven for evening relaxation.
Integrated Audio
We installed a premium, heat-resistant audio system directly into the cabin. Now, the client can fully disconnect, enveloping themselves in their favourite music, guided meditations, or nature sounds as they enjoy their daily sweat.
