A portable ice bath (or recovery pod) is a lightweight, freestanding tub designed for cold water therapy in limited spaces. Unlike permanent wooden or steel tubs, these pods are constructed from multiple layers of thermal-insulated fabric (typically PVC and pearl cotton). Yes, high-quality portable baths are weather-resistant. They are built with durable, UV-resistant outer shells designed to withstand the British elements. However, to prolong the lifespan of the tub, you must keep the all-weather cover secured when not in use. This prevents rainwater, leaves, and insects from contaminating the water and protects the rim from sun damage.

• Without a Chiller: We recommend changing the water every 3 to 4 weeks if used regularly, or sooner if the water becomes cloudy.
• With a Chiller: If you use a chiller with an integrated filtration system, the water remains clean for much longer (often several months) as the unit constantly filters out debris and bacteria.
