The Luna Outdoor Sauna is a premium, made-to-order retreat. Because this is a large-scale timber structure, we follow a precise professional process to ensure a smooth transition from our workshop to your garden.

1. Place Your Order & Site Assessment

Select your Luna Sauna configuration, including timber type, heater size, and luxury add-ons such as LED lighting, a bucket & ladle, or ergonomic headrests.

• Professional Site Video: As the Luna is a significant architectural addition to your home, we kindly request a detailed video walkthrough of your property and the intended installation site. This allows our logistics team to verify that delivery vehicles can safely access your space and identify the most efficient unloading route.
• Order Confirmation: You will receive a formal breakdown of your purchase, including a dedicated reference number and estimated production timeline.

2. Handcrafted Production

Once your order is confirmed, your sauna is sent to our specialised production facility.

• Premium Materials: Each Luna is meticulously crafted from high-quality Nordic spruce, designed to comfortably accommodate up to six people.
• Quality Control: Every component undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection before being flat-packed onto a secure pallet for international transit.

3. Delivery & Professional On-Site Handling

We are pleased to provide complimentary delivery on all Luna Sauna orders. Our logistics process is designed to be as seamless as possible, moving your sauna from our workshop directly to your property.

• Palletised Packaging & Protection: To ensure your sauna arrives in pristine condition, it is delivered securely on a heavy-duty pallet. Each component—from the premium spruce timber to the tempered glass doors—is carefully stacked, weather-protected, and shrink-wrapped. This prevents transit damage and ensures every piece of your order is accounted for upon arrival.
• Kerbside Delivery & Accessibility: Our standard service is a kerbside delivery, meaning the pallet is offloaded at the nearest safe access point to your property via a tail-lift vehicle. Please ensure your location can accommodate a large goods vehicle (17-tonne or more).
• Integrated Unloading & Site Assistance: Unlike standard logistics providers, we offer an enhanced unloading service. Our drivers will position the pallet as close to your desired location as site access permits. Furthermore, our team will assist with breaking down the pallet and transporting the individual components directly from the kerbside to your designated installation site.

Professional Note: To ensure we have the correct equipment and personnel on hand for your specific property layout, please provide your site video consultation prior to the delivery date.

4. Preparation Checklist (Pre-Delivery)

To ensure a seamless setup, please prepare the following in advance:

• Foundation: A level, stable base (concrete slab, reinforced paving, or heavy-duty engineered decking) capable of supporting the sauna’s significant weight and occupants.
• Access: Ensure clear and unobstructed paths from the kerbside/unloading point to the final installation area.
• Electrical Planning: Consult a qualified electrician early. High-performance heaters require substantial, dedicated power supplies.
  • Pro Tip: Send all digital manuals we provide to your electrician in advance to ensure they are prepared with the correct cable sizing and RCD protection on installation day.

5. Delivery & Inspection

Upon arrival at your property:

• Immediate Audit: Inspect all parts for visible damage or missing items while the delivery team is present, if possible.
• Reporting: Any discrepancies must be reported to our support team within 24 hours of receipt to qualify for warranty support.

6. Installation & Assembly

You have two professional pathways to bring your Luna Sauna to life:

Critical Note: Regardless of the assembly method, a certified electrician must complete the final connection, ensuring correct cable sizing, RCD protection, and the installation of a weatherproof isolator switch.

7. Warranty Validation & Handover

To protect your investment and validate your manufacturer’s warranty:

• Wood Treatment: Immediately treat the interior and exterior timber with a high-quality, breathable wood oil to ensure long-term durability against the elements.
• Mechanical Check: Verify that the doors, windows, and adjustable ventilation slats function smoothly.
• System Test: Once the electrical connection is certified, run a full test cycle of the heater and integrated LED systems.

The Luna Outdoor Sauna offers flexible heating options to suit your lifestyle, whether you prefer a classic wood-fired experience or a modern electric setup. Below is an overview of the heater system so you understand the choices and what to expect.

Heater Options

• Electric Heater: A high-capacity electric sauna heater is available for immediate, controllable heat.
• Wood-Fired Stove: Alternatively, you can opt for a traditional wood-fired stove, which creates a natural, smoky sauna ambience with a visible fire.

Each version is designed for optimal performance in this model’s size (approx. 4 m² sauna room), ensuring the space heats efficiently and retains warmth throughout your session.

Performance & Experience

• The heating system supports an operating temperature range of approximately 80°C to 90°C when using the standard stove setup.
• With the electric heater, you benefit from fast warm-up and easy temperature control.
• With the wood-fired option, you get deeper, richer heat and the aesthetic of burning wood, which many sauna enthusiasts prefer.
• Regardless of heater type, the cabin’s marine plywood frame, spruce-wood walls and roof, accurately engineered insulation, and glass features all contribute to excellent heat retention and a luxurious atmosphere.

Customer Responsibility

• For the electric heater option: all electrical supply, wiring, connections, and final installation are the customer’s responsibility. A qualified electrician must complete the installation in full compliance with UK electrical safety regulations to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• For the wood-fired heater option: If selected, you’ll need to ensure that appropriate venting/chimney work, clearances, and compliance with local regulations are in place, as these are not included in the base product package. 

The electrical supply required will depend on the kW rating of your chosen sauna heater. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified electrician prior to any installation.

Typically, a dedicated supply is required—similar to those used for electric showers or cookers. Most domestic sauna heaters in the UK are connected to a single-phase 230V supply, and the Amps can be calculated using:

Watts ÷ Volts = Amps

For example: a 6kW (6000W) heater ÷ 230V = approximately 26 Amps

Cable size depends on cable length, installation method, and other on-site factors. Always defer to your electrician’s judgment. Strongly advise that installation is carried out by a fully qualified electrician, and that all work complies with current Government regulations and wiring standards (e.g., BS 7671 in the UK).

The Viking Luna Sauna is delivered to your door as a complete flat-pack kit. All deliveries include detailed assembly instructions, technical drawings, and comprehensive maintenance and usage recommendations.

Standard Delivery and Unloading

Delivery to your doorstep, including the safe unloading of the sauna from the vehicle, is fully included in the purchase price. Because our sauna pallets are large—typically weighing over a tonne and arriving on a flatbed truck—our team comes fully equipped to handle offloading, so you do not have to provide equipment or manual labour.

The Unloading Process

Our delivery personnel will manage the entire unloading procedure for your kit. Depending on your site's specific access, our team will efficiently offload the pallet using our own forklift or carefully by hand (piece by piece), ensuring all components are safely transferred from the truck to your designated delivery staging point.

Specialised Site Access

While standard unloading from the truck to an accessible staging point is fully included, moving the heavy pallet or its individual components to a final location that lacks standard access (for example, far from the road, up steep inclines, or over large obstacles) may require specialised equipment, such as a mobile crane. If your final placement requires a crane, this falls outside of our standard unloading service. If you are unsure whether your site requires specialised equipment, please contact us for advice or assistance in arranging the right solution for your specific property.

At Balance Recovery, we are confident in the quality of the Viking Industrier products we offer. Therefore, we provide a 2-year guarantee on all items sold, with the exception of electrical or automatic equipment. Warranty terms for such equipment are determined by the manufacturer and provided separately.

If you encounter any technical or functional issues with your Viking Industrier product, please promptly submit a written complaint using our claims form. You can access the form by contacting us at contact@balancerecovery.co.uk. 

To help us quickly address your issue, please include the following in your claim:

• Detailed description of the issue: Clearly describe the problem and specify the affected parts of the product.
• Transport damage documentation: For claims related to damage during shipping, attach copies of the signed shipping documents.
• Photographs: Provide clear photos that illustrate the problem.
• Preferred solution: Let us know your preference for resolving the issue (repair, replacement, etc.).

Important Notes:

• This warranty may be voided if assembly instructions provided by Balance Recovery are not followed.
• Assembly should only be conducted by skilled personnel or those authorised by Balance Recovery.
• The warranty does not apply if the product is used for purposes other than its intended use or if our instructions are not followed.
• Balance Recovery is not responsible for issues arising from natural wear and tear, atmospheric influences, or failure to comply with product care instructions.

If your issue falls outside the scope of this warranty, we may still offer repair services at your expense. Rates and terms will be discussed and agreed upon separately. 

Returns and Refunds Policy for Made-to-Order Saunas

We take pride in delivering high-quality, made-to-order saunas designed to meet your unique specifications. Because each sauna is individually crafted, our returns and refund policy reflects the bespoke nature of these products.

Why Returns Are Limited for Made-to-Order Saunas

Each sauna is custom-built according to specific customer requirements. As these items cannot be resold or restocked, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once the production process has begun.

Please review all details of your order carefully before confirming, including dimensions, features, and finishes.

• Our Policy in Detail: Customisation Acknowledgement: By placing an order, you acknowledge that your sauna is a bespoke product created to your specifications.
• Non-Returnable Items: Once production has commenced, cancellations, returns, or refunds are not permitted unless the product arrives defective or damaged.
• Damaged or Faulty Products: If your sauna arrives with visible damage or a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

We will assess the issue and may provide a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Order Review

We strongly recommend verifying all measurements and customisation details before confirming your order.

• Right to Cancel (Before Fabrication): You may cancel your order before fabrication begins, subject to an administrative fee.
• Relevant Consumer Laws: This policy is designed in accordance with UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose, and accurately described. If your sauna fails to meet these standards, we will take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
• Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013: Bespoke and made-to-order items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation period for online purchases. However, your rights remain protected if the product is faulty or does not conform to the agreed specifications.
