Delivery & Installation Protocol: Harvia Alaska View
Technical Requirements & Site Readiness
The Alaska View is a high-mass, precision-engineered sauna. Due to its 447kg net weight and its unique corner-glass architecture, the following technical standards are required to ensure structural integrity and to validate your warranty.
1. The Foundation (Ground-Worker Brief)
Unlike panel-built saunas, the Alaska View uses 40mm solid timber. This weight, combined with the glass corner, requires a non-negotiable structural base.

Load Capacity: The foundation must be engineered to support a "Live Load" of 1,200kg (447kg build weight + 9kW heater/stones + 2-4 occupants).

The "Zero-Tolerance" Level: The base must be perfectly level. Because the glass corner is a structural feature, any "run-off" in the floor will prevent the glass panels from meeting flush, causing heat loss and potential stress fractures in the glass.

Surface: We recommend reinforced concrete, load-bearing floor joists (if indoors), or a level-set tiled floor.
2. Electrical Infrastructure (Electrician Brief)
The Alaska View is powered by a 9.0kW Harvia system managed by the Fenix 110 Digital Hub.

Power Requirement: A dedicated 40-Amp radial circuit (230V 1N~ or 400V 3N~).

The Digital Hub (Fenix 110): The power unit should be mounted in a dry, well-ventilated area (e.g., a nearby cupboard or on an external wall). A data cable must run from this unit to the touch-panel location.

Mandatory Cabling: All wiring entering the sauna must be SiHF-JB high-temperature silicone cable. Standard PVC wiring will fail under the 9kW heat cycles and voids all electrical warranties.

Boundary: We mount the hardware; your electrician is responsible for the final "live" connection and issuing the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC).
3. Logistics & Arrival Protocol

The Pallet: Your sauna arrives as a single, weather-wrapped pallet weighing approximately 477kg.

Integrated Assistance: We provide kerbside delivery. If access is clear, our crew will assist you in manually carrying the 40mm spruce panels and glass elements from the pallet to your designated room.

The 24-Hour Inspection: You must inspect all glass and timber components within 24 hours of arrival. Due to the weight of the Alaska View panels, any transit damage must be flagged immediately to ensure a priority replacement.
4. Choosing the Right Path for Your Build
We want the setup of your Alaska View to be as smooth as possible. Whether you want our team to handle the assembly or you prefer to use your own trusted contractors, we are here to support the project.
Pathway A: Professional Installation Service
If you’d like us to take the lead on the physical build, we offer a full structural assembly service.
- The Scope: Our team arrives on-site to assemble the 40mm spruce walls, fit the corner glass panels, and mount the interior benches and Harvia hardware.
- The Handover: Once the structure is complete, we’ll walk you through the Fenix 110 controls, so you’re ready for your first session.
- Warranty: Because we handle the assembly, this pathway includes a 2-Year Comprehensive Warranty covering both the components and the structural labour.
Pathway B: Independent Contractor / Self-Assembly
Many of our clients already have a construction team on-site for a larger home renovation. We are more than happy to provide the hardware for your team to install.
- The Scope: We deliver the complete Harvia/Sentiotec crate, including all timber, glass, hardware, and technical manuals. Your chosen contractors take over the assembly and alignment from there.
- The Support: Your team will have access to the same technical manuals and electrical briefs that we use, ensuring they have everything they need for a successful build.
- Warranty: This pathway includes a 1-Year Parts-Only Warranty. We guarantee the quality of every Harvia component; your contractors are responsible for the structural labour and final alignment.
5. Mandatory Post-Install Validation
To lock in your warranty, two steps are required:

7-Day Preservation: You must apply a breathable wood oil to all internal and external Spruce surfaces within 7 days. This stops the 40mm timber from "checking" or cracking as it adjusts to the 9kW heat.

The Test Burn: Once certified by your electrician, run the sauna at 80°C for 60 minutes. This sets the timber and clears the manufacturing oils from the Harvia elements.
The Final Step: Your Electrician
Regardless of which pathway you choose, the final "Live" connection is always handled by your own qualified electrician. Once the sauna is physically built (by our team or yours), your electrician will perform the final hook-up to your consumer unit and issue the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). This ensures that the high-voltage 9kW system is fully integrated into your home's specific power grid by a local pro who knows your property.
