2. Bespoke Production

Once your specifications are finalised, your sauna enters the production phase.

• Craftsmanship: Every Saunum sauna is built to order, ensuring that the timber work and internal air-blending systems are integrated to factory standards.
• Lead Times: Due to the bespoke nature and high level of customisation, the production lead time is 8–10 weeks.
• Total Timeline: Including international transit and logistics coordination, you should expect a 10–12 week window from order to arrival.

3. Delivery & Professional Logistics

While we offer complimentary delivery to Mainland UK, it is important to understand the distinction regarding "Last Mile" logistics.

• Pre-Assembled Nature: Because Saunum saunas are delivered fully built, they require specialist handling.
• Logistics Audit: We consult with our specialist delivery partners prior to production to verify access.
• Last Mile Requirements: The final stage of delivery (from the kerbside to your specific location) often requires specialised equipment such as a HIAB or crane. As access requirements vary significantly from property to property, this "last mile" service is quoted and invoiced separately based on your specific site needs.

4. Preparation Checklist (Pre-Delivery)

5. Delivery & Inspection

On your scheduled delivery day, your sauna arrives in its final, pre-assembled form.

• Specialist Equipment: Our team will utilise the equipment identified during your site assessment (e.g., crane or heavy-duty forklift) to navigate your property's specific access requirements.
• Once the unit is positioned and unpacked, please inspect all components, including the glass facade and internal air-blending heater. To maintain your warranty eligibility, any discrepancies must be reported to our support team within 24 hours.

Delivery and Unloading Guide

All Saunum products are custom-crafted to order in Estonia, the historic home of the traditional sauna. While we are pleased to offer complimentary delivery directly to your doorstep, please be advised that unloading and final positioning of the sauna are the customer's responsibility.
Because all Saunum saunas arrive fully assembled, they cannot be offloaded by hand. We highly recommend consulting our Installation Guide prior to delivery to ensure your site is adequately prepared.

Offloading Options

Depending on your property's accessibility, you will need to arrange one of the following specialised offloading methods:

• Forklift: This is the most cost-effective solution, provided your property has adequate space and suitable terrain to transport the sauna from the delivery truck to its final location.
• HIAB (Lorry Loader): A highly practical and affordable option if the sauna needs to be lifted over roadside boundaries, such as fences or low walls.
• Crane: This service is necessary for more complex deliveries where the sauna's final destination is situated far from the road and is inaccessible to a forklift.

We can arrange the unloading for you, for an additional fee.

Foundation and Site Preparation Requirements

Proper site preparation is essential to ensure the longevity and structural integrity of your sauna. Please ensure your chosen location meets the following criteria prior to delivery:

• Level and Stable Base: The foundation must be completely level and stable to safely support the weight of the sauna.
• Full Beam Support: Every base beam beneath the sauna requires continuous, solid support underneath it.
• Minimum Elevation: To ensure proper airflow and prevent moisture damage, the sauna must be elevated at least 75 mm above the surrounding ground. Please note that this elevation rule applies even if you are placing the sauna on a hardscape surface, such as a terrace or pavement.
• Our Recommendations for a Perfect Base: We highly recommend placing the sauna on concrete blocks or concrete strip foundations set over compressed gravel. If you are installing over natural ground, laying a geotextile weed membrane underneath the sauna will effectively prevent grass and weeds from growing into the structure.

Why Returns Are Limited for Made-to-Order Saunas

Each sauna is custom-built according to specific customer requirements. As these items cannot be resold or restocked, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once the production process has begun.

• Our Policy in Detail: Customisation Acknowledgement: By placing an order, you acknowledge that your sauna is a bespoke product created to your specifications.
• Non-Returnable Items: Once production has commenced, cancellations, returns, or refunds are not permitted unless the product arrives defective or damaged.
• Damaged or Faulty Products: If your sauna arrives with visible damage or a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
