• A dedicated, correctly protected hard-wired power supply installed by a qualified electrician — a six-person cabin may require a larger single-phase or a three-phase supply .
• A level, dry floor strong enough to support the cabin's weight (around 310 kg).
• Adequate clearance and ventilation around the unit and heater.
• After assembly, load the sauna stones and test the heater, controls and lighting.

The SaunaMed Traditional 6-Person Electric Sauna is heated by a Harvia Vega traditional electric sauna heater, supplied with approximately 20 kg of sauna stones. This is a genuine traditional set-up: the heater warms the stones and the surrounding air to high sauna temperatures, and water can be ladled over the stones to raise the humidity and create steam.
Heater Specifications
The cabin is fitted with a single Harvia Vega electric heater rated at approximately 6 kW (6,000 W); the fact pack references model BC60. This figure is taken from the fact pack and should be confirmed as correct and sufficient for a six-person cabin before go-live [confirm]. Around 20 kg of sauna stones are included. Controls are on the heater itself; there is no app, chromotherapy or oxygen ioniser on the Traditional range. Optional heater upgrades may be available.
Performance and Experience
A traditional heater produces authentic dry heat, allowing you to enjoy a deep, cleansing sweat — or to ladle water over the stones for a burst of steam. Combined with the Canadian Hemlock double-wall construction, 5 mm reflective foil-foam insulation and tempered glass door, the cabin offers strong heat retention and a natural, comfortable environment. As a larger cabin, it typically needs longer to reach temperature than a small infrared unit, so allow time to pre-heat before your session.
Customer Responsibility
Although the heater is supplied with the cabin, the customer is responsible for the electrical supply and final connection. All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician in full compliance with UK electrical safety regulations (BS 7671). Because this is a six-person traditional cabin, the electrician should confirm whether a larger single-phase or a three-phase supply is required, and will size the circuit, cable and protection accordingly.

The SaunaMed Traditional 6-Person Electric Sauna is not a plug-in appliance. Unlike SaunaMed's infrared cabins, a traditional electric sauna heater must be connected to a dedicated, hard-wired electrical supply installed by a qualified electrician — it does not run from a standard 13A plug.
The Traditional range is specified as single-phase, hard-wired. However, this is the largest, most powerful cabin in the range, and a six-person sauna may require a larger single-phase or a three-phase supply. We therefore recommend treating the electrical supply for the six-person cabin as something to confirm with a qualified electrician before you buy or install.
All electrical work — sizing and installing the dedicated circuit and hard-wiring the heater — must be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure the installation complies with UK electrical safety regulations (BS 7671).
A professional will confirm the correct supply, circuit, cable size, fuse/breaker rating and connection method to guarantee safe operation, and will ensure the cabin runs efficiently and safely while maintaining warranty protection.

The SaunaMed Traditional 6-Person Electric Sauna is covered by a 5-year cabin guarantee and a 2-year electrical guarantee, as published by the manufacturer. This gives you long-term confidence in both the timber cabin and the electrical components under normal domestic use.
Please note: the guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse or negligence. Issues resulting from water exposure beyond normal sauna use, impacts, scratches or other accidental damage are not included. Installation not carried out in line with the manufacturer's instructions and UK electrical regulations may also affect cover.
Your sales invoice acts as proof of warranty, clearly stating the start and end dates of your coverage. An optional extended electrical parts warranty may also be available — please contact us for current details.

To return your sauna, please ensure it is securely repacked in its original packaging, including the heater, stones, all accessories and documentation. Once confirmed, we'll organise collection of larger items from your address.
Returns are handled in accordance with our standard UK returns policy. Where a return is due to a change of mind, the item must be unused and in its original condition; where an item is faulty, we will put things right in line with your statutory rights.
If you choose to cancel or reject your order before delivery, a small deduction may be applied to cover the associated shipping and return fees.
