The SaunaMed Luxury Cedar 4-Person sauna is heated by far infrared rather than a traditional stone-and-stove system. Instead of superheating the air, its emitters radiate long-wave far infrared energy that warms the body directly, creating a deep yet comfortable warmth at a lower cabin temperature.

Emitter Specifications
The cabin is fitted with 8 × DuraWave FAR infrared ceramic emitters (lava-sand filled), delivering up to 2800 W of far infrared heat distributed around the seating area. The manufacturer refers to this technology as DuraWave™ EMR Neutral™ 100% pure FAR infrared ceramic.

The SaunaMed Luxury Cedar 4-Person FAR Infrared Sauna is designed to operate on a 13A plug-and-play basis from a standard UK 13-amp socket, drawing power for a heating load of up to approximately 2800 W. On this basis, an electrician is not normally required for connection. 

Before use, please confirm that the socket and circuit you intend to use are in good condition, appropriately protected, and suitable for a continuous heating load of this size. The extra-long 3 m power cable gives flexibility in positioning the cabin near your chosen socket.

If you have any doubt about the suitability of your socket, circuit or consumer unit, or if you intend to hard-wire the unit instead, this work should be carried out by a qualified electrician in full compliance with UK electrical safety regulations (BS 7671). A professional can confirm the correct circuit protection and socket type for safe operation.

The SaunaMed Luxury Cedar 4-Person FAR Infrared Sauna is covered by a 5-year cabin guarantee plus a 2-year electrical guarantee, as published by the manufacturer. This provides long-term confidence in both the cedar cabin and its electrical components under normal domestic use.

An optional 3-Year Extended Electrical Parts Warranty is available for residential use at additional cost. 

Please note: the warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage or incorrect installation. Your sales invoice acts as proof of purchase and warranty start date, so please keep it safe.
