The Insignia Signature 10.5kW Domestic Steam Generator Set is a complete premium kit for a home steam room — the generator that produces the steam, supplied with the lighting, salt therapy, control and water-treatment components to finish a premium installation. Designed for heavy-duty domestic use, it suits steam rooms of around 9–12 m³.

The Signature generator is built from stainless steel inside and out and uses Sectional Heating Technology — multiple element groups fire together for a fast start, then stage down to hold temperature efficiently. A waterproof digital touch-control panel runs temperature, run time, humidity, lighting and salt spray, while automatic fill, top-up and drain, plus overheat and low-water-level protection, keep operation simple and safe. The Premium set adds a Twin Halotherapy Salt Atomiser, six colour-changing LED lights, a water-treatment cartridge and a stainless-steel steam nozzle.

As a 10.5kW unit it must be connected to a 3-phase (380–415V) supply by a qualified electrician — it will not run on a standard single-phase domestic circuit. It is delivered kerbside with free UK delivery, and professional installation is available. 1. Size the generator to your room Steam generators are matched to room volume (m³) — length × width × height of the sealed steam space. As a guide, Insignia's Signature range is rated as follows:

Heavily tiled, stone or glass rooms, high ceilings or poor insulation lose heat faster — size up if your room is near the top of a band or hard to insulate. If in doubt, use the sizing calculator or contact us.

2. Check your electrical supply (important) This 10.5kW model is 3-phase (380–415V) only — it cannot run on a standard single-phase domestic supply. You'll need a qualified electrician to provide a 3-phase circuit with an RCD/GFCI and isolator. If you only have single-phase, the 7.5kW model is the single-phase option (for smaller rooms).

3. Plan water, drainage and the generator location The generator needs a cold-water feed and a drain, and should sit in a dry, ventilated space (a cupboard or plant area) within a short pipe run of the steam room. Steam and drain pipes must be copper or stainless steel (never plastic) because the water/steam exceeds 100 °C.

4. Choose your kit level This Premium set includes salt therapy (halotherapy atomiser) and chromotherapy LED lighting on top of the generator, control panel and water-treatment cartridge — a complete premium home steam room. Optional extras (exhaust fan, aromatherapy atomiser, automatic descaling pump) are available separately.

5. Delivery & installation Delivered kerbside with free UK delivery; professional installation is available. The electrical and plumbing connections should be carried out by qualified trades.

Installation (professional recommended) The set is supplied for installation into a prepared steam-room enclosure. The generator is mounted in a dry, ventilated location within pipe reach of the room; the steam nozzle, salt atomiser, LED lights and control panel are fitted, and the unit is connected to water, drain and power and commissioned. Professional installation is available and recommended for the electrical and plumbing work.

Electrical (must read — 3-phase only) This 10.5kW generator is hard-wired to a 3-phase 380–415V supply by a qualified electrician — it cannot run on a standard single-phase domestic circuit. Key requirements (per the install manual):

  • A 5-core supply to the generator terminals (L1/L2/L3, neutral, earth); minimum live/neutral 4.0 mm², earth 2.5 mm² — the electrician will size to the load and to BS 7671.
  • A GFCI/RCD must be fitted on the supply, plus a means of isolation (the on/off button on the controller does not cut the mains).
  • All work to comply with Part P and local/national wiring regulations, by a competent electrician.

Water & drainage A cold-water feed only (½", through the supplied treatment cartridge and a flexible stainless hose; fit a pressure-reducing valve if supply pressure exceeds ~8 bar) and a ¾" drain (copper/stainless, with a downward gradient to waste). No water pump is required.

The Insignia Signature steam generator comes with a 12-month warranty as standard, which upgrades to two years with the additional purchase and installation of an approved Insignia water processor/filter.

Insignia also publishes a component-level warranty schedule. Note that the longer component terms below apply when the automatic descaling pump is fitted (an accessory that is not part of this Premium bundle); without it, the shorter terms apply.
