Holl’s Eccolo 6 | 6-Person Ultra-Insulated Eco-Steam Sauna

The Holl’s Eccolo 6 (HL-EC04PK) is the 2026 flagship of energy-efficient thermal wellness. Designed to accommodate up to six adults in a social, high-performance environment, the Eccolo 6 utilises a revolutionary double-thickness wall architecture to achieve professional 90°C temperatures with unmatched efficiency. By integrating mineral wool insulation and a sealed vapour barrier, this model reduces thermal leakage by up to 35%, allowing its 4.5kW stove to outperform larger, uninsulated heaters while remaining compatible with conventional 230V power.

Crafted with a luxurious Red Cedar and Canadian Hemlock exterior and "cool-touch" Abachi internal fittings, the Eccolo 6 features an expansive Two-Tier seating system and premium LED chromotherapy. It is the ultimate social sanctuary for detoxification, cardiovascular health, and respiratory therapy.

Why the Eccolo 6 is the 2026 High-Capacity Leader:

1. Advanced Thermal Envelope Technology

The Eccolo 6 is engineered to retain heat like a passive house, maximising every watt of energy:

  • Hybrid Insulation Suite: High-density mineral wool is sandwiched between premium timber layers, ensuring the exterior remains cool while the interior reaches peak Finnish heat.
  • Volume Optimisation: Featuring closed-space benches, the design prevents cold air pockets from forming beneath the seating, forcing the heat to circulate exactly where the users are positioned.
  • Red Cedar & Hemlock Aesthetic: The exterior uses Red Cedar for its aromatic depth and weather-resistant properties, paired with Hemlock for structural rigidity.

2. The "Social Recovery" Multi-Tier Layout

With a generous 200 x 175 cm footprint, the Eccolo 6 provides a customizable experience for groups:

  • Vertical Heat Zones: The two-tier bench system allows users to self-regulate; the upper tier offers the most intense steam (Löyly) experience, while the lower tier provides a gentler, more social climate.
  • Premium Chromotherapy: Integrated LED spots at headrest level recreate the full visible spectrum, allowing you to synchronise your recovery with mood-enhancing light frequencies.

3. High-Efficiency 4.5kW "Plug-and-Steam"

  • Calibrated Harvia-Class Performance: The 4.5kW stove is specifically tuned to the insulated volume of the Eccolo 6, delivering rapid heat recovery and consistent steam generation.
  • Lower Operational Costs: By requiring less raw power to maintain high temperatures, the Eccolo 6 is the most cost-effective 6-person sauna to operate daily in the 2026 energy market.

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Technical Specification: Electrical Supply

CRITICAL: NOTICE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER

Owner’s Brief for the Holl’s Eccolo 6 (6-Person)

The Eccolo 6 draws approximately 19.6 Amps. Although the marketing mentions "conventional 230v," in the UK, a standard 3-pin plug is capped at 13 Amps. This unit MUST be hardwired. Attempting to use a standard plug or an extension lead will lead to terminal melting and pose a significant fire risk.

THE GOLDEN RULE: You must appoint a Registered Electrician to install a dedicated circuit. If their on-site assessment of your home's consumer unit contradicts this brief, follow the electrician’s instructions.

1. Power Infrastructure Requirements

The 4.5kW Harvia stove is the heart of this high-efficiency system.

Pre-wired

  • Circuit Specification: A dedicated 32A radial circuit is recommended. While a 20A breaker is technically "on the limit," a 32A breaker provides the necessary headroom for the heater's continuous load.
  • Cable Selection: Your electrician should specify 4mm² or 6mm² cable, depending on the distance from your consumer unit.
  • Isolation Switch: A 32A Double-Pole Isolation Switch must be installed within reach of the sauna for safe isolation and maintenance.

2. Safety Vapouror Barrier Protection

  • RCD Protection: The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD. In a steam sauna environment where water is poured over 4.5kW elements, this is your primary life-safety device.
  • High-Temperature Wiring: The final connection from the isolator to the stove must use High-Temperature Silicone Cable. Standard PVC household wiring cannot withstand the 90°C ambient temperatures inside the Eccolo 6. Vapour Barrier Integrity: The electrician must ensure that any cable entry points into the cabin are properly sealed with heat-resistant grommets to maintain the air-tight insulation that makes the Eccolo 6 efficient.

3. Lighting & Chromotherapy Wiring

  • LED Headrest Spots: The Premium Chromotherapy system is integrated into the wall panels. Ensure the low-voltage cables are securely connected to the central control box before the final Abachi interior trim is fitted.
  • Controller Placement: The control box should be located in a dry, ventilated area (usually the void provided in the insulated wall or under the lower bench).

4. Commissioning

  • Certification: Your electrician must provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). This is required to validate your 2-year electronics warranty and for home insurance compliance.
  • Stove Airflow: Ensure the Harvia stove is mounted with the correct manufacturer-specified air gaps. In an insulated cabin, airflow around the heater is even more critical to prevent the wood from scorching.

Owner’s Electrical Action Plan

  1. Survey: Have your electrician verify that your consumer unit can support a new 32A breaker.
  2. Hardwire Only: Confirm with the installer that no 13A plugs will be used for the 4.5kW stove.
  3. Heat Protection: Verify the use of Silicone Cable for the internal stove connection.
  4. Verification: Test the Chromotherapy spectrum and the stove's heat-up time (should reach 90°C efficiently due to the insulation).
Delivery & Installation +

Delivery & Installation Protocol: Holl's Eccolo 6

HL-EC04PK | High-Efficiency 6-Seater Hybrid

The Eccolo 6 is a substantial piece of engineering. Because it uses insulated "sandwich" panels rather than solid wood blocks, the assembly requires careful handling to ensure the thermal envelope remains air-tight over its 2-meter span.

1. Receipt & "Envelope" Audit (Mandatory)

  • The 24-Hour Inspection Rule: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm tempered glass door, the 4.5kW Harvia stove, and the Hemlock/Red Cedar panels within 24 hours.
  • Insulation Check: Verify that the mineral wool core and vapour barrier within the panels are intact. Any deep punctures in the wood during transit could compromise the "low energy" efficiency of the unit.
  • Component Inventory: Confirm that the two-tier Abachi benches, the headrest-level Chromotherapy LED spots, and the full traditional sauna kit are included.

2. Site Preparation: The 200x175 Footprint

  • The Foundation: The 200 x 175 cm base area must be perfectly level. On a unit this wide, any floor deviation will cause the insulated panels to "pivot," creating gaps in the vapour barrier and leading to significant heat loss.
  • Ceiling Clearance: The cabin height is 190cm. Ensure you have at least 205cm of room height to allow for the installation of the ceiling panel and proper airflow above the unit.
  • Environment: Like all Eccolo models, this is for indoor use only. It must be placed in a dry, ventilated room to protect the Red Cedar exterior.

3. Installation Pathway: The Large Hybrid Build

Pathway A: Professional Installation (Recommended)

  • Structural Alignment: Professional carpenters will ensure the 2-meter walls are braced correctly and that the closed spaces under the benches are sealed airtight to prevent heat from escaping into the lower voids.
  • LED Sync: Setting up the multi-spot Premium Chromotherapy across a larger seating area.

Pathway B: Self-Assembly (3-4 Person Task)

  • Panel Management: These panels are large and heavy due to the internal insulation and multi-wood layers. At least three adults are required to hold and lock the side walls into the 90-degree corner joints.
  • Seating Installation: Carefully install the Abachi benches. The Eccolo 6 features two levels; the upper level is the high-intensity zone. Ensure the wall-mounted supports are anchored into the structural frame of the insulated panels.
  • Door Alignment: The "redesigned door" is critical for the 90°C rating. Adjust the hinges until the magnetic seal makes a perfect, silent contact all the way around.

4. Commissioning & "Eco-Heat" Testing

  • Stove Setup: Wash the lava stones and place them loosely in the 4.5kW Harvia stove. Do not overpack; the Eccolo's efficiency relies on fast air convection.
  • The First Cycle: Run the sauna at 50°C for 60 minutes with the door open to "vent" the new insulation and timber.
  • Chromotherapy Audit: Test the headrest-level LED spots. The spectrum should be consistent and controllable across the entire seating area.

Installation Readiness Checklist

  • Inspection: All panels, glass, and 4.5kW stove checked within 24 hours?
  •  Floor: Level and moisture-resistant 200x175cm area confirmed?
  • Power: Dedicated 25A/32A supply ready for the 4.5kW efficiency system?
  • Wall Treatment: Breathable oil-based finish ready for application?
  • Team: At least 3 adults ready for the assembly date?

Holl’s Eccolo 6: Warranty Statement

HL-EC04PK | Insulated 6-Seater Protection Terms

The Eccolo 6 is a high-capacity, high-efficiency hybrid. To protect your 10-year wood warranty and 2-year electronics coverage, the following professional standards for insulated cabin systems must be strictly observed.

1. Warranty Duration

Holl’s provides a market-leading guarantee for this high-efficiency flagship:

  • Wood Structure: 10-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure, or rot of the Hemlock, Red Cedar, and Abachi components.
  • Electronics: 2-Year Warranty covering the 4.5kW Harvia stove elements, the central control box, and the Premium Chromotherapy LED system.
  • Usage: These terms apply strictly to private domestic indoor installations.

2. Conditions for Validity

To maintain your coverage, these technical and environmental conditions are mandatory:

  • Certified 4.5kW Hardwiring: The Harvia stove must be hardwired by a Registered Electrician to a dedicated 25A/32A circuit. Using a standard 13A plug or domestic extension lead will cause terminal failure and fire risk, and will void the 2-year electronics warranty.
  • Vapour Barrier Integrity: The 10-year warranty is dependent on the cabin maintaining its thermal envelope. Any unauthorised drilling or structural modifications that puncture the internal mineral wool or vapour barrier will void the wood warranty.
  • Indoor Climate Control: The Eccolo 6 is an indoor-only model. Installation in damp, non-insulated areas or outdoors will void the 10-year wood warranty. High-quality Red Cedar and Hemlock are sensitive to moisture ingress if not kept in a temperature-controlled room.

3. The 24-Hour Inspection Rule (Large Format)

  • Safety Glass: You must unbox and inspect the redesigned tempered glass door and seals for transit damage within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Insulated Panels: Given the 200cm width of the panels, inspect the Hemlock/Cedar joints for any transit-related impact. Damage reported after 24 hours is not eligible for a transit claim.

4. Material Integrity & Care

  • Surface Protection: To maintain the 10-year warranty, you must apply a breathable oil-based finish to both interior and exterior wood surfaces. This prevents the Spruce/Cedar from drying out or absorbing excessive moisture from the steam.
  • No Varnish/Paint: Never use non-breathable sealants, varnishes, or paints on the interior Abachi wood. The wood must remain porous to manage the 90°C thermal cycles.
  • Multi-User Hygiene: Because this cabin accommodates 6 persons, the moisture load is high. The use of towels on all seating levels is mandatory to prevent permanent staining and salt damage to the Abachi benches.
  • Stove Airflow: Use only the provided Harvia stones. Loose placement is required to ensure the 4.5kW output circulates efficiently throughout the large 200cm wide cabin.

5. Claims Procedure

In the event of an issue:

  1. Documentation: Provide your original purchase record and the GTIN (HL-EC04PK).
  2. Electrical Evidence: For electronic or stove claims, you must provide the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate.
  3. Visuals: Clear photos of the installation site, the floor level, and the specific defect are required for assessment.

Warranty Validity Checklist

  •  Inspection: Reported any transit damage to the glass or insulated panels within 24 hours?
  •  Environment: Is the sauna in a temperature-controlled indoor room?
  •  Electrical: Is the 4.5kW Harvia unit hardwired and certified on a dedicated line?
  •  Wood Care: Has a breathable oil-based finish been applied to all surfaces?
