How It Works

The Harvia Himalaya pairs a designer salt-sauna cabin (with built-in infrared) with your choice of Harvia stove. Below is the step-by-step journey from order to your first session.

1. Choose Your Cabin, Stove & Stones Select the Himalaya Large Infra+ and a suitable Harvia electric stove (7.5–9 kW), stones, and — if you want to run heat and infrared together — a combined control unit. Not sure which? Tell us your room and supply details and we'll recommend the right match. Complete your purchase and you'll receive an order confirmation.

2. Order Processing & Dispatch Your order is prepared and the cabin is supplied flat-packed with assembly materials and instructions (including the salt wall, infrared emitter and control). Lead times are confirmed at order (some Harvia items ship from Finland).

3. Delivery to Your Address Free kerbside delivery across the UK mainland. The boxes are large and heavy, so please ensure someone is available to receive them; you'll typically be contacted to arrange a convenient day.

4. Receipt & Inspection Inspect all packaging on arrival and check every component against the manual. Report anything missing or damaged straight away, and keep all packaging until the sauna is fully assembled and working.

5. Assembly The Himalaya is designed for straightforward assembly — two people and basic tools are recommended. Prefer not to build it yourself? We can arrange professional installation at additional cost, quoted to your location.

6. Electrical Connection A qualified electrician must connect the stove (and the infrared/combined control) to a suitable hard-wired electrical supply sized to the stove's output, in full compliance with UK wiring regulations (BS 7671). The cabin is supplied with a 5 × 2.5 mm² heater cable. This is essential for safety and to maintain warranty cover.

7. Commissioning & First Use Add the sauna stones, set your heat mode (traditional, infrared, or both), tune the RGBW lighting and salt-wall glow, and enjoy your first hybrid session.

8. Aftercare Keep the cabin ventilated, clean the timber and salt wall as advised, and periodically check the stove, infrared, controls and lighting. Contact us anytime for stones, accessories or support.

The Harvia Sauna Experience Delivery & Installation 

Delivery We offer free kerbside delivery across the UK mainland. The Himalaya is supplied flat-packed with assembly materials and instructions; lead times are confirmed at order, as some Harvia products ship directly from Finland. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery (net weight 527 kg across multiple packages), and inspect all components on arrival.

Assembly The cabin is designed for straightforward DIY assembly using the supplied materials and full instructions — two people and basic tools are recommended. If you'd prefer, we can arrange professional installation at additional cost, quoted to your location and site conditions.

Electrical connection The Himalaya is a hybrid sauna. The traditional stove (sold separately, 7.5–9 kW) and the infrared/combined control must be connected to a suitable hard-wired electrical supply by a qualified electrician, in line with UK regulations. The cabin is supplied with a 5 × 2.5 mm² heater cable; we'll confirm the exact supply requirement for your chosen stove so it can be installed and certified ahead of first use.

Harvia 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

The Harvia Himalaya Large Infra+ comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty as standard, giving you long-term confidence in your purchase.

Conditions & exclusions

• Cover applies to manufacturing and material defects under normal domestic use.
• The warranty does not cover damage from improper assembly, incorrect electrical installation, misuse, neglect or accidental damage, or natural variation in timber and salt (minor grain, colour and texture differences).
• Correct assembly per the manual and electrical connection by a qualified electrician are required to maintain cover.
• Keep your proof of purchase as evidence of warranty.

Returns and Refunds Policy: Made-to-Order Collection

1. The Nature of Your Purchase

• Items in our made-to-order range are prepared specifically for your order. Please verify all dimensions, your stove choice and your electrical requirements before finalising.

2. Natural Material Disclosure

• Spruce, lime wood and Himalayan salt are natural materials; grain, colour and texture vary slightly from images, and minor movement can occur as the wood adapts — these are not defects.

3. Order Cancellations and Amendments

• You may cancel or amend within 24 hours of placing your order. After this window, but before the order is dispatched/prepared, a small administration fee may apply. Once prepared for dispatch, cancellation may not be possible.

4. Damages and Manufacturing Faults

• Inspect your delivery on arrival and report any transit damage to contact@balancerecovery.co.uk within 48 hours with photographs. Manufacturing defects are handled in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Statutory Rights

• Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods remain fully protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For non-bespoke stocked items, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 14-day cancellation right may also apply — we'll confirm based on how your order is fulfilled.
