France Sauna Zen 3 | 3-Person Traditional Finnish Steam Sauna

The France Sauna Zen 3 (SN-ZEN3PK) is the 2026 standard for high-performance, compact family wellness. Engineered to provide an authentic Finnish environment within a manageable 153 x 110 cm footprint, the Zen 3 comfortably accommodates three seated adults. Crafted from 100% Raw Canadian Spruce, this sauna utilizes the natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of high-altitude timber to create a pure, aromatic sanctuary that remains dimensionally stable even under daily high-heat steam cycles.

Powered by a premium 3.5kW Harvia stainless steel stove, the Zen 3 delivers rapid heat distribution and consistent "Löyly" (steam). With its focus on thermal mass and traditional timber aesthetics, it offers a private, grounding environment for physical recovery and long-term respiratory health.

Why the Zen 3 is the 2026 Benchmark for Indoor Spas:

1. 100% Raw Canadian Spruce Integrity

The Zen 3 prioritises material purity to ensure a healthy, chemical-free recovery zone:

  • Superior Thermal Retention: Canadian Spruce is selected for its high R-value, ensuring the interior reaches 80°C–90°C quickly while the exterior remains safe to the touch.
  • Natural Durability: Backed by an industry-leading 7-year wood warranty, the timber is naturally resistant to the humidity of steam sessions and won't warp or "bleed" resin over time.

2. Harvia Precision Heating

Choosing a Zen 3 means opting for the gold standard of Finnish engineering:

  • 3.5kW Harvia Stainless Steel Stove: Perfectly calibrated for the cabin's volume, this heater ensures you aren't over-consuming electricity while still achieving the intense heat required for deep-tissue relaxation.
  • Lava Stone Infusion: The included rocks provide the high thermal mass needed to create the "spiral of steam" that instantly opens pores and stimulates blood circulation.

3. Atmospheric "Under-Bench" Lighting

  • Dual-Zone Ambient Glow: To enhance the mental health benefits of your session, the Zen 3 features soft lighting in the upper corners and integrated lighting beneath the bench. This indirect glow reduces visual stress and helps trigger deep relaxation.
  • Ergonomic Interior: Includes a full-width bench with a matching spruce headrest for optimal comfort during extended sessions.

Holl’s & France Sauna Buying Guide

Ensuring a Smooth, Safe, and Professional Sauna Delivery Experience. This guide outlines the complete process from placing your order to installation, safety checks, and aftercare. Following these steps will help ensure a seamless delivery and setup of your Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna, whether you are installing it at home or in a professional wellness environment.

1. Place Your Order

  • Choose your preferred Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna model — whether infrared, traditional indoor, hybrid, or outdoor. Complete your purchase on our website by providing your delivery address.
  • The price listed includes delivery within mainland UK (exclusions include the Channel Islands, areas of Scotland, and Ireland).
  • You will receive an order confirmation email immediately with your order details, estimated delivery timeframe, and next steps.
  • To ensure smooth access on the day of delivery, we may request photos or a short video of the delivery area, access routes, or surrounding space.
  • This helps our logistics team confirm the feasibility of delivery and kerbside unloading requirements.
  • All saunas are held in our UK warehouse and prepared for dispatch once your order is confirmed. Kerbside delivery and unloading are included at no additional cost.

2. Order Processing & Preparation

  • Once your order is confirmed, your sauna is scheduled for preparation and dispatch.
  • Our saunas are crafted from premium-grade wood, selected for durability, insulation, and aesthetic quality.
  • All components — including the cabin structure, benches, glazing, and heating elements — are prepared, quality checked, and securely packaged for shipment.

3. Delivery Organisation

When your sauna is ready, we organise pallet delivery of the flat-pack components to your address (kerbside).

You will be notified of:

  • Delivery date
  • Estimated time window
  • Any access requirements (e.g., suitable driveway space for pallet trucks)
  • Your sauna is dispatched directly from our UK warehouse, and unloading is included at no additional charge.

4. Pre-Installation Preparation

Before delivery, please ensure:

  • A suitable foundation
  • The base must be level, stable, and capable of supporting the sauna’s full weight, including that of its occupants.
  • Clear access
  • Access routes should be unobstructed to facilitate the movement of pallets and components.
  • Electrical Preparation (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All electrical work is entirely the customer’s responsibility.

Requirements vary depending on the model and the layout of your property.

You must:

  • Arrange for a qualified electrician prior to installation.
  • Check the electrical specifications listed on the product page.
  • Ensure correct cable sizing, breaker and isolator selection, and compliance with UK electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
  • Provide your electrician with the manufacturer’s electrical manual in advance.
  • Where possible, have the electrician present on installation day.
  • Important: Failure to use a qualified electrician or failure to meet the required electrical standards may void the warranty.
  • Each product page includes an Electrical Supply section for further clarification.

If self-assembling:

  • Review the assembly manual provided with your order.
  • Prepare the necessary tools and sufficient manpower in advance.

5. Delivery & Unloading

On the scheduled delivery day:

  • Your sauna arrives on a pallet
  • Our delivery team unloads the pallet (via pump truck/trolley where possible)
  • Components are placed at your designated kerbside or base area

Once delivered, please:

  • Unpack all components
  • Check for missing or damaged parts
  • Report any issues within 24 hours to maintain warranty eligibility

6. Installation / Assembly

Professional Installation (Optional)

  • If you choose professional installation, our experienced carpenters will assemble your sauna within one full day.

What Our Team Does:

  • Full assembly of the sauna build only
  • Correct fitting of all internal components (no electrical hookup)
  • Final checks to ensure the sauna is ready for commissioning
  • Installation quotes can be requested directly from the product page. Pricing varies by model; we do not charge for travel.

Self-Assembly (Flat-Pack)

If you prefer to self-assemble:

  • Follow the detailed instruction manual
  • Assembly usually takes 1–2 days, depending on experience
  • Electrical Connection (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All wiring, final electrical connection, and compliance with UK standards must be carried out by a qualified electrician appointed by the customer.

This includes:

  • Correct cable sizing
  • Safe heater connection
  • Isolation switch requirements
  • Certification of the installation
  • Incorrect or uncertified electrical work will void the warranty.

7. Finishing Touches & Safety Check

Once assembled:

  • Confirm the structure is level and stable
  • Check all doors, glazing, and ventilation
  • After wiring is complete, perform a first heat-up test
  • Obtain any required electrical certification from your electrician

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Technical Specification: Electrical Supply

CRITICAL: NOTICE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER

Owner’s Brief for the France Sauna Zen 3 (3-Person)

The Zen 3 requires a 3.5kW (Approx 15.2 Amps) supply. In the UK, this exceeds the safe continuous load for a standard 13A ring main. This unit must be hardwired to a dedicated circuit by a Registered Electrician.

THE GOLDEN RULE: While this document provides manufacturer guidelines, you must always defer to the professional judgment of your Registered Electrician. If their on-site assessment of your home's consumer unit contradicts this brief, follow the electrician’s instructions.

1. Power Infrastructure Requirements

The 3.5kW Harvia stove is designed to heat the 153cm wide interior efficiently.

Hardwired

Dual-Zone Lighting

Low Voltage

Via Internal Transformer

Pre-wired to the control box

  • Circuit Specification: A dedicated 20A radial circuit is the mandatory standard for this installation.
  • Cable Selection: Your electrician will typically specify 2.5mm² or 4mm² cable, depending on the distance from your distribution board.
  • Isolation Switch: A 20A Double-Pole Isolation Switch must be positioned outside the cabin for emergency shut-off and maintenance.

2. Safety & Steam Protection

  • RCD Protection: The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD at the consumer unit. Given that steam saunas involve pouring water over electrical heating elements, this safety barrier is non-negotiable.

  • Heat-Resistant Cabling: The final connection from the isolator to the Harvia stove must use High-Temperature Silicone Cable. Standard household PVC cable is not rated for the 80°C+ ambient temperatures inside the Zen 3 spruce cabin.

3. Lighting & Aesthetic Wiring

  • Hidden Integrated Cables: The Zen 3 features corner lighting and a "soft glow" strip beneath the bench. These are pre-channelled within the Spruce panels.

  • Transformer Placement: Ensure your electrician mounts the transformer in a dry, ventilated area (usually behind the bench supports).

  • Cable Management: Because the Zen 3 has a clean, raw timber look, all wiring should be pulled through the pre-drilled holes during the assembly of the three spruce walls.

4. Commissioning

  • Harvia Stove Clearance: Ensure the heater is mounted to the spruce wall according to the Harvia-specific safety clearances to prevent wood scorching.

  • Certification: Your electrician must provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). This is your proof of compliance for home insurance and is required to validate your 2-year electronics warranty.

Owner’s Electrical Action Plan

  1. Survey: Have your electrician confirm the consumer unit can take a new 20A breaker.
  2. Pre-Wire: Pull the dedicated cable to the sauna location before the floor and walls are locked.
  3. Bench Access: Keep the lower bench removable initially so the electrician can finalise the lighting transformer connections.
  4. Test: Check the "Soft Lighting" beneath the 153cm bench and the stove heat cycle before signing off on the installation.

Delivery & Installation Protocol: France Sauna Zen 3

SN-ZEN3PK | 3-Person Authentic Spruce Cabin

The Zen 3 utilises a traditional tongue-and-groove assembly. The increased width of the 153cm panels means that floor levelling is even more critical than on smaller models to prevent "panel creep" during assembly.

1. Receipt & "Width" Audit (Mandatory)

  • The 24-Hour Inspection Rule: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm safety glass door, the 3.5kW Harvia stove, and the 153cm wide spruce panels within 24 hours.
  • Wood Condition: Inspect the raw Canadian Spruce for any structural splits. As with all Zen models, natural knots and grain variations are part of the authentic design.
  • Sauna Kit Check: Verify the bucket, ladle, hourglass, and thermometer/hygrometer are intact. These are essential for the traditional "dry steam" experience.

2. Site Preparation: The Mid-Size Footprint

  • The Foundation: The 153 x 110 cm base must be perfectly level. Any dip in the floor will cause the wide rear wall to bow slightly, which makes fitting the ceiling and glass front significantly more difficult.
  • Surface Protection: Ideally installed on tile or stone. If installing on wood or laminate, a protective floor mat is required under the stove area to handle the water used for steam generation.
  • Ceiling Height: Ensure you have at least 210 cm of room height (the cabin is 190 cm). You need the extra space to slide the ceiling panel into place and to allow for heat dissipation.

3. Installation Pathway: The 3-Wall Build

Pathway A: Professional Installation

  • Precision Fitting: Specialists will ensure the wide panels are perfectly plumb, which is vital for the long-term structural integrity of the spruce.
  • Lighting Logic: They will integrate the corner and under-bench lighting into the hidden channels for a clean look.

Pathway B: Self-Assembly (2-3 Person Task)

  • The Sequence: Connect the rear wall to the side walls first. One person should hold the panels while another secures the fasteners.
  • Bench Placement: With a 153cm span, ensure the bench supports are firmly anchored into the spruce wall studs before placing the main bench and headrest.
  • Glass Integration: The 8mm glass front must be handled with care. Do not rest the glass directly on a hard floor; use the cardboard packaging as a buffer during the hinging process.

4. Commissioning & Wood Curing

  • Stove Prep: Rinse the lava stones to remove dust. Place them loosely in the Harvia stove; this is critical for the 3.5kW unit to heat the larger 3-person volume efficiently.
  • Initial Heat Cycle: Run the sauna at 55°C for one hour with the door cracked open. This stabilises the Canadian Spruce and vents any "new heater" odours.
  • Atmosphere Test: Ensure the "soft glow" under-bench lighting is properly connected and provides a consistent light throw across the floor.

Installation Readiness Checklist

  •  Inspection: All glass and wood panels checked within 24 hours of delivery?
  •  Floor: Level, heat-resistant, and non-slip surface ready?
  •  Power: Dedicated 20A circuit hardwired and ready for the 3.5kW Harvia?
  •  Clearance: 5cm air gap maintained around all exterior wooden walls?
  •  Assembly Team: 2-3 adults available for the panel and ceiling lift?

France Sauna Zen 3: Warranty Statement

SN-ZEN3PK | 3-Person Spruce & Harvia Protection Terms

The Zen 3 is a wider, mid-sized traditional cabin. To protect your 7-year wood warranty and 2-year electronics coverage, the following professional standards for raw Canadian Spruce must be strictly observed.

1. Warranty Duration

France Sauna (Poolstar) provides a comprehensive guarantee for this traditional model:

  • Wood Structure: 7-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure, or rot of the 100% raw Canadian Spruce panels.
  • Electronics: 2-Year Warranty covering the Harvia stove elements, internal control wiring, and the dual-zone lighting (upper corner and under-bench).
  • Usage: These terms apply strictly to private domestic indoor installations.

2. Conditions for Validity

To maintain your coverage, these technical and environmental conditions are mandatory:

  • Certified Hardwiring: The 3.5kW Harvia stove must be hardwired by a Registered Electrician to a dedicated 20A circuit. Using a 13A plug or an extension lead will cause terminal overheating and void the 2-year electronics warranty.
  • Indoor Climate Control: The Zen 3 is an indoor-only model. Installation in non-insulated areas, damp garages, or any outdoor setting (even under a porch) will void the 7-year wood warranty due to the potential for the raw spruce to warp or mould.
  • Structural Levelling: Because this unit is 153cm wide, the floor must be 100% level. Structural "racking" or glass door misalignment caused by a sagging or uneven sub-floor is considered an installation error and is not covered.

3. The 24-Hour Inspection Rule (Glass & Accessories)

  • Panoramic Front: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm safety glass and door for any transit damage or edge chips within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Sauna Kit: Check the wooden bucket, ladle, and glass thermometer/hygrometer for cracks immediately upon arrival.

4. Material Integrity & Care

  • Raw Spruce Maintenance: To maintain the 7-year warranty, do not paint, stain, or varnish the interior. Spruce must remain porous to handle the 80°C heat cycles safely. Chemical treatments can release toxic fumes at high temperatures.
  • Bench Protection: Spruce is a soft, absorbent wood. To prevent permanent staining from perspiration and body oils on the 153cm bench and headrest, the use of towels is mandatory for every user.
  • Stove Airflow: Use only the provided Harvia lava stones. Rinse them before first use and place them loosely. Packing stones too tightly restricts airflow, causing the 3.5kW elements to overheat and fail prematurely.

5. Claims Procedure

In the event of a technical or structural issue:

  1. Documentation: Provide your original purchase record and the GTIN (SN-ZEN3PK).
  2. Electrical Evidence: For any electronic or stove claims, you must provide the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate.
  3. Photos: Clear images of the floor level, the room's ventilation, and the specific defect will be required for assessment.

Warranty Validity Checklist

  • Inspection: Reported any transit damage to the glass or spruce within 24 hours?
  • Environment: Is the sauna in a temperature-controlled indoor room?
  •  Electrical: Is the 3.5kW Harvia unit hardwired and certified?
  • Maintenance: Are towels being used to protect the raw spruce seating?
