France Sauna Zen 2 | 2-Person Traditional Finnish Steam Sauna

The France Sauna Zen 2 (SN-ZEN2PK) is the definitive choice for those seeking an authentic, uncompromising Finnish sauna experience within a compact footprint. Measuring just 120 x 110 cm, the Zen 2 is engineered to fit into master suites, home gyms, or dedicated wellness corners. Crafted from 100% Raw Canadian Spruce, this sauna leverages the natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of high-altitude timber, providing a soft, aromatic environment that withstands extreme thermal variations.

Powered by a premium 3.5kW Harvia stainless steel stove, the Zen 2 delivers rapid heat-up times and consistent "Löyly" (steam). With its traditional timber-focused design and discreet 8mm safety glazing, it offers a private, grounding sanctuary for physical recovery and mental clarity.

Why the Zen 2 is the 2026 Benchmark for Home Wellness:

1. 100% Raw Canadian Spruce Construction

The Zen 2 prioritises material purity to ensure a healthy, chemical-free environment:

  • High Thermal Resistance: Canadian Spruce is selected for its ability to maintain its structural integrity and "soft" touch even when the interior reaches 80°C–90°C.
  • Natural Durability: The wood’s natural properties make it highly resistant to the humidity of steam sessions, backed by an industry-leading 7-year wood warranty.

2. Harvia Precision Heating

Installation of a Zen 2 means choosing the gold standard of Finnish heating technology:

  • 3.5kW Harvia Stove: This stainless steel unit is perfectly calibrated for the cabin's volume, ensuring you aren't over-consuming energy while still achieving the intense, dry heat required for toxin elimination.
  • Lava Stone Infusion: The included lava rocks provide high thermal mass, allowing you to create a "spiral of steam" that instantly relaxes muscles and opens pores.

3. Atmospheric "Under-Bench" Glow

  • Dual-Zone Lighting: To enhance the relaxation session, the Zen 2 features soft lighting in the upper corners and integrated lighting beneath the bench. This indirect glow reduces eye strain and helps trigger the parasympathetic nervous system for deeper relaxation.
  • Ergonomic Interior: Includes a built-in bench with a matching spruce headrest for optimal posture during your session.

2026 Professional Installation & Power Notes

  • Electrical Requirement: The 3.5kW Harvia stove requires a dedicated 16A to 20A single-phase supply. It must be hard-wired to a dedicated circuit breaker by a qualified electrician to comply with UK safety standards.
  • The "Zen Starter Kit": Every unit arrives fully equipped with a traditional wooden bucket, ladle, hourglass, and a combined thermometer/hygrometer.
  • Site Preparation: Install on a perfectly level, water-resistant floor (tiles, stone, or sealed concrete).
  • Ventilation: Ensure the room has standard ventilation to manage post-sauna humidity. The compact size makes this model ideal for rooms where space is at a premium but high-performance heat is required.

Holl’s & France Sauna Buying Guide

Ensuring a Smooth, Safe, and Professional Sauna Delivery Experience. This guide outlines the complete process from placing your order to installation, safety checks, and aftercare. Following these steps will help ensure a seamless delivery and setup of your Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna, whether you are installing it at home or in a professional wellness environment.

1. Place Your Order

  • Choose your preferred Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna model — whether infrared, traditional indoor, hybrid, or outdoor. Complete your purchase on our website by providing your delivery address.
  • The price listed includes delivery within mainland UK (exclusions include the Channel Islands, areas of Scotland, and Ireland).
  • You will receive an order confirmation email immediately with your order details, estimated delivery timeframe, and next steps.
  • To ensure smooth access on the day of delivery, we may request photos or a short video of the delivery area, access routes, or surrounding space.
  • This helps our logistics team confirm the feasibility of delivery and kerbside unloading requirements.
  • All saunas are held in our UK warehouse and prepared for dispatch once your order is confirmed. Kerbside delivery and unloading are included at no additional cost.

2. Order Processing & Preparation

  • Once your order is confirmed, your sauna is scheduled for preparation and dispatch.
  • Our saunas are crafted from premium-grade wood, selected for durability, insulation, and aesthetic quality.
  • All components — including the cabin structure, benches, glazing, and heating elements — are prepared, quality checked, and securely packaged for shipment.

3. Delivery Organisation

When your sauna is ready, we organise pallet delivery of the flat-pack components to your address (kerbside).

You will be notified of:

  • Delivery date
  • Estimated time window
  • Any access requirements (e.g., suitable driveway space for pallet trucks)
  • Your sauna is dispatched directly from our UK warehouse, and unloading is included at no additional charge.

4. Pre-Installation Preparation

Before delivery, please ensure:

  • A suitable foundation
  • The base must be level, stable, and capable of supporting the sauna’s full weight, including that of its occupants.
  • Clear access
  • Access routes should be unobstructed to facilitate the movement of pallets and components.
  • Electrical Preparation (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All electrical work is entirely the customer’s responsibility.

Requirements vary depending on the model and the layout of your property.

You must:

  • Arrange for a qualified electrician prior to installation.
  • Check the electrical specifications listed on the product page.
  • Ensure correct cable sizing, breaker and isolator selection, and compliance with UK electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
  • Provide your electrician with the manufacturer’s electrical manual in advance.
  • Where possible, have the electrician present on installation day.
  • Important: Failure to use a qualified electrician or failure to meet the required electrical standards may void the warranty.
  • Each product page includes an Electrical Supply section for further clarification.

If self-assembling:

  • Review the assembly manual provided with your order.
  • Prepare the necessary tools and sufficient manpower in advance.

5. Delivery & Unloading

On the scheduled delivery day:

  • Your sauna arrives on a pallet
  • Our delivery team unloads the pallet (via pump truck/trolley where possible)
  • Components are placed at your designated kerbside or base area

Once delivered, please:

  • Unpack all components
  • Check for missing or damaged parts
  • Report any issues within 24 hours to maintain warranty eligibility

6. Installation / Assembly

Professional Installation (Optional)

  • If you choose professional installation, our experienced carpenters will assemble your sauna within one full day.

What Our Team Does:

  • Full assembly of the sauna build only
  • Correct fitting of all internal components (no electrical hookup)
  • Final checks to ensure the sauna is ready for commissioning
  • Installation quotes can be requested directly from the product page. Pricing varies by model; we do not charge for travel.

Self-Assembly (Flat-Pack)

If you prefer to self-assemble:

  • Follow the detailed instruction manual
  • Assembly usually takes 1–2 days, depending on experience
  • Electrical Connection (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All wiring, final electrical connection, and compliance with UK standards must be carried out by a qualified electrician appointed by the customer.

This includes:

  • Correct cable sizing
  • Safe heater connection
  • Isolation switch requirements
  • Certification of the installation
  • Incorrect or uncertified electrical work will void the warranty.

7. Finishing Touches & Safety Check

Once assembled:

  • Apply a breathable oil-based finish to interior and exterior wood surfaces (required for warranty validity)
  • Confirm the structure is level and stable
  • Check all doors, glazing, and ventilation
  • After wiring is complete, perform a first heat-up test
  • Obtain any required electrical certification from your electrician

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Technical Specification: Electrical Supply

CRITICAL: NOTICE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER

Owner’s Brief for the France Sauna Zen 2 (2-Person)

The Zen 2 requires a 3.5kW (Approx 15.2 Amps) supply. In the UK, this exceeds the safe continuous load for a standard 13A plug. This unit must be hardwired to a dedicated circuit by a Registered Electrician.

THE GOLDEN RULE: While this document provides manufacturer guidelines, you must always defer to the professional judgment of your Registered Electrician. If their on-site assessment contradicts this brief, follow the electrician’s instructions.

1. Power Infrastructure Requirements

The 3.5kW Harvia stove is the heart of the Zen 2, requiring a stable, high-amperage feed.

Harvia Finnish Stove

Pre-wired to the control box

  • Circuit Specification: A dedicated 20A radial circuit is the standard requirement for this model.
  • Cable Selection: Your electrician will likely specify 2.5mm² or 4mm² cable, depending on the length of the run from your consumer unit.
  • Isolation Switch: A 20A Double-Pole Isolation Switch should be installed near the sauna (but outside the splash zone) for local control and safety.

2. Safety & Moisture Protection

  • RCD Protection: The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD at the consumer unit. This is vital for any appliance involving water and electricity (steam generation).
  • High-Temperature Wiring: The final link between the wall isolator and the Harvia stove must be made with High-Temperature Silicone Cable. Standard electrical cable will become brittle and fail inside the 80°C Spruce cabin.

3. Lighting & Aesthetic Wiring

  • Hidden Integrated Cables: The Zen 2 features lighting in the upper corner and beneath the bench. These cables are pre-routed within the Spruce panels. Ensure your electrician connects these to the internal transformer during the wall assembly phase.
  • Aesthetic Finish: Because this model is 100% raw Spruce, any surface-mounted trunking will be highly visible. Proper planning ensures all wiring remains internal to the timber joints.

4. Commissioning

  • Heater Positioning: The Harvia stove must be mounted according to the specific safety clearances provided in the manual to prevent the raw Spruce walls from over-drying or scorching.
  • Certification: Your electrician must provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or a Minor Works Certificate. This document is essential for your home insurance and to validate your 2-year electronics warranty.

Owner’s Electrical Action Plan

  1. Survey: Confirm your consumer unit has an available slot for a 20A dedicated breaker.
  2. Cable Prep: Pull the cable to the installation site before the Spruce walls are locked together.
  3. Transformer Access: Ensure the lighting transformer is accessible for future maintenance, typically located behind the lower bench support.
  4. Verification: Test the under-bench "soft glow" lighting and the stove heat cycle once the installation is complete.

Delivery & Installation +

Delivery & Installation Protocol: France Sauna Zen 2

SN-ZEN2PK | Authentic Canadian Spruce 2-Seater

The Zen 2 is characterised by its "Solid Wall" design. While the front features glass, the side panels are substantial spruce timber, requiring careful alignment to maintain the thermal seal necessary for a 3.5kW system to reach peak temperature.

1. Receipt & "Authenticity" Audit (Mandatory)

  • The 24-Hour Inspection Rule: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm safety glass, the Harvia 3.5kW stove, and the Spruce wall sections within 24 hours.
  • Spruce Natural Features: Canadian Spruce is used in its "raw" state. Inspect for any structural splits. Note that small knots and slight colour variations are hallmarks of raw spruce and do not constitute a defect.
  • Sauna Kit Inventory: Confirm the presence of the wooden bucket, ladle, hourglass, and the combined thermometer/hygrometer.

2. Site Preparation: The Compact Footprint

  • The Surface: The 120 x 110 cm base must be perfectly level. An unlevel floor in a small cabin can cause the glass door to "bind" or hang crookedly, leading to heat leakage.
  • Flooring Type: Tiled, stone, or polished concrete is ideal. If installing on laminate or wood, ensure a protective mat is placed under the stove area to catch water splashes from the ladle.
  • Ventilation Space: Even in a small room, maintain a 5cm air gap between the sauna walls and the room walls to allow the timber to breathe and prevent moisture build-up behind the cabin.

3. Installation Pathway: The Rapid Build

Pathway A: Professional Installation

  • Benefit: Ensures the corner joints are perfectly airtight and the Harvia stove is calibrated for the small cabin volume.

  • Lighting: Professional routing of the dual lighting (corner and under-bench) for a seamless finish.

Pathway B: Self-Assembly (2 Person Task)

  • The Structure: This is a "snap-lock" or tongue-and-groove system. Start with the rear wall and connect the sides. Because of the 190cm height, one person should hold the panels while the other secures them.

  • Bench & Headrest: Install the bench and the wall-mounted headrest before the glass front is attached. Ensure the bench supports are level so the Abachi/Spruce seating feels stable.

  • Glass Door: The 8mm glass is heavy despite the cabin's small size. Use the provided wooden handle for the interior and ensure the hinges are tightened only once the door is perfectly aligned.

4. Commissioning & Heat Curing

  • Lava Rocks: Wash the Harvia rocks thoroughly to remove dust before placing them in the stove. Pack them loosely to allow airflow around the elements.
  • The Initialisation Burn: Run the sauna at 50-60°C for one hour with the door open. This season, the spruce burns off any manufacturing residues from the Harvia elements.
  • Ambience Check: Verify the corner lighting and the under-bench "soft glow" are operational.

Installation Readiness Checklist

  • Inspection: Glass, Harvia stove, and Spruce panels checked within 24 hours?
  •  Floor: Level, non-slip, and heat-resistant surface ready?
  •  Power: Dedicated 20A circuit ready for the 3.5kW load?[ ] Space: Minimum 195cm ceiling height available for assembly?
  •  Team: 2 adults ready for the 1-2 hour assembly process?

France Sauna Zen 2: Warranty Statement

SN-ZEN2PK | Raw Spruce & Finnish Heating Protection

The Zen 2 is designed for those who appreciate the natural purity of a traditional sauna. To protect your 7-year wood warranty and 2-year electronics coverage, the following professional standards must be strictly observed.

1. Warranty Duration

France Sauna (Poolstar) provides a robust guarantee for this authentic model:

  • Wood Structure: 7-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure, or rot in the 100% raw Canadian Spruce panels.
  • Electronics: 2-Year Warranty covering the Harvia stove elements, internal control wiring, and the dual-zone lighting (corner and under-bench).
  • Usage: These terms apply strictly to private domestic indoor installations.

2. Conditions for Validity

To maintain your coverage, these technical and environmental conditions are mandatory:

  • Certified Hardwiring: The 3.5kW Harvia stove must be hardwired by a Registered Electrician to a dedicated 20A circuit. Component failure or burnt elements resulting from the use of 13A plugs or extension leads will void the 2-year electronics warranty.
  • Indoor Environment: The Zen 2 is an indoor-only model. Installation in non-insulated areas, damp garages, or outdoors (even with a cover) will void the 7-year wood warranty due to the potential for the raw spruce to swell or develop mould in uncontrolled humidity.
  • Floor Levelling: The base must be 100% level. Structural stress or glass door misalignment caused by an uneven sub-floor is considered an installation fault and is not covered.

3. The 24-Hour Inspection Rule (Glass & Wood)

  • Safety Glass: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm safety glass door and front for any chips or transit damage within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Spruce Panels: Inspect the raw timber for any structural splits. Please note that "natural" characteristics like small knots and grain variation are part of the raw Canadian Spruce aesthetic and are not considered defects.

4. Material Integrity & Care

  • Wood Breathability: To maintain the 7-year warranty, do not paint, stain, or varnish the interior of the Zen 2. Spruce needs to be porous to handle 80°C heat cycles. Chemical treatments can also release toxic fumes when heated.
  • Hygiene: Because spruce is a soft, absorbent wood, the use of towels on the bench and the wall-mounted headrest is mandatory to prevent permanent salt and oil staining.
  • Stove Maintenance: Use only the provided Harvia stones. Ensure they are placed loosely. If stones are packed too tightly, it restricts airflow and causes the elements to overheat and fail prematurely.

5. Claims Procedure

In the event of a technical or structural issue:

  1. Documentation: Provide your original purchase record and the GTIN (SN-ZEN2PK).
  2. Electrical Evidence: For any electronic or stove claims, you must provide the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate.
  3. Photos: Clear images of the floor level, the room's ventilation, and the specific defect will be required for assessment.

Warranty Validity Checklist

  •  Inspection: Reported any transit damage to the glass or spruce within 24 hours?
  • Environment: Is the sauna in a temperature-controlled indoor room?
  •  Electrical: Is the 3.5kW Harvia unit hardwired and certified?
  •  Maintenance: Are towels being used to protect the raw spruce seating?
