France Sauna Sense 4 | 4-Person Panoramic Finnish Steam Sauna

The France Sauna Sense 4 (SN-SENSE-4PK) represents a significant leap in symmetrical home sauna design. Engineered for social relaxation, its 150 x 150 cm square footprint creates a spacious interior volume that comfortably accommodates up to four adults. Built with 100% sustainably sourced Canadian Spruce, the Sense 4 features a signature Fully Glazed Panoramic Facade in 8mm tempered glass, delivering a modern, open-plan feel that integrates seamlessly into any 2026 luxury interior.

At its core is the world-renowned 4.5kW Harvia Finnish stove, designed to deliver the authentic Nordic "Löyly" experience. By adding water to the included lava stones, the cabin rapidly reaches optimal temperatures of 80°C, promoting deep muscle relaxation, skin purification, and instant stress relief.

Why Sense 4 is the 2026 Social Benchmark:

1. Symmetrical L-Shaped Panoramic View

The Sense 4 is designed for homeowners who prioritise architectural aesthetics and a sense of space:

  • 8mm Panoramic Glazing: The entire front and door are crafted from heavy-duty tempered safety glass, removing the visual boundaries common in traditional saunas and making your wellness space feel like a natural extension of the room.
  • Compact Social Footprint: The 150 cm square design is perfectly balanced—small enough to fit into a dedicated gym or master suite, yet large enough for a group session.

2. Dual-Level "Thermal Tier" Benches

The interior architecture utilises two different seating levels to provide a customisable thermal journey:

  • The "Cooler" Start: Begin your session on the lower bench to allow your body to adjust to the heat.
  • The "Intense" Tier: Move to the upper bench for a deeper sweat, where the heat is most concentrated.
  • Atmospheric Dual-Zone Lighting: Features integrated soft lighting in the upper corners and discreet under-bench LEDs, bathing the cabin in a warm, relaxing glow without harsh glare.

3. Professional Harvia Heating Suite

  • High-Efficiency 4.5kW Harvia Stove: Calibrated specifically for the larger volume of the Sense 4, ensuring rapid heat-up times and consistent steam production.
  • Complete Nordic Kit: Supplied ready for immediate use, including the traditional wooden bucket, ladle, lava stones, and a precision thermometer/hygrometer/hourglass set.

2026 Professional Installation & Power Notes

  • Electrical Requirement: The 4.5kW Harvia stove requires a dedicated 20A to 25A single-phase supply (or 3-Phase 400V equivalent). It must be hard-wired by a qualified Part P electrician to a dedicated circuit.
  • Site Preparation: The Sense 4 should be installed on a perfectly level, non-porous floor (tiles, stone, or sealed concrete). As this is a steam sauna, a water-resistant base is essential for durability.
  • Indoor Usage Only: This model is strictly designed for interior installation in dry areas. Ensure the room has standard ventilation to manage residual humidity after sessions.
  • Assembly: Features a modular "easy-mounting" system; it typically requires two to three adults for a 3-hour installation.

Following these steps will help ensure a seamless delivery and setup of your Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna, whether you are installing it at home or in a professional wellness environment.

1. Place Your Order

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Technical Specification: Electrical Supply

CRITICAL: NOTICE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER

Owner’s Brief for the France Sauna Sense 4 (4-Person)

The Sense 4 requires a 4.5kW (Approx 19.6 Amps) supply. This load is significantly higher than a standard 13A socket can provide. This unit must be hardwired to a dedicated circuit by a Registered Electrician.

THE GOLDEN RULE: While this document provides manufacturer guidelines, you must always defer to the professional judgment of your Registered Electrician. If their on-site assessment of your home's wiring contradicts this brief, follow the electrician’s instructions.

1. Power Infrastructure Requirements

The 4.5kW Harvia stove is a high-performance Finnish heater designed for rapid heat-up in the cabin.

Rating

Operating Amperage

Connection Type

Harvia Finnish Stove

4.5kW

19.6A

Hardwired

Dual-Zone Lighting

Low Voltage

Via Internal Transformer

Pre-wired to the control box

  • Circuit Specification: A dedicated 25A or 32A radial circuit is recommended to ensure there is "headroom" for the current draw.
  • Cable Selection: Your electrician will typically use 4mm² or 6mm² cable, depending on the distance from the consumer unit to the sauna.
  • Isolation Switch: A 32A Double-Pole Isolation Switch must be installed outside the cabin for emergency shut-off and maintenance.

2. Safety & Circuit Protection

  • RCD Protection: The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD at the distribution board. Steam saunas involve pouring water onto hot elements; a sensitive RCD is a mandatory safety barrier against electrical leakage.
  • Heat Protection: The wiring inside the spruce cabin leading to the Harvia stove must be high-temperature silicone cable. Standard PVC-coated wire will melt or degrade over time in 80°C environments.

3. Lighting & Ambience Wiring

  • Transformer Placement: The lighting system (corners and under-bench) runs through a transformer. Ensure the electrician mounts this in a dry, accessible area—typically behind the lower bench or in a designated wall cavity.
  • Cable Management: Because the Sense 4 features a panoramic glass front, any visible cables will ruin the aesthetic. Cables should be hidden within the spruce tongue-and-groove joints or pre-drilled channels.

4. Commissioning

  • Mounting the Harvia: Ensure the 4.5kW heater is mounted at the correct height from the floor to allow for optimal convection and to protect the Canadian Spruce from scorching.
  • Certification: Your electrician must provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC). This is your proof of a safe installation and is required to validate your 2-year electronics warranty.

Owner’s Electrical Action Plan

  1. Confirmation: Ensure your electrician knows the unit is 4.5kW.
  2. Consumer Unit: Check that you have an available way on your RCD-protected side of the board for a new 25A/32A breaker.
  3. Cable Route: Identify the shortest route for the cable to keep installation costs down and minimise voltage drop.
  4. Test: Check the "Soft Lighting" under the bench specifically; this is a key feature of the Sense 4 that requires correct polarity to function.
Delivery & Installation +

Delivery & Installation Protocol: France Sauna Sense 4

SN-SENSE-4PK | 4-Person Panoramic Canadian Spruce

The Sense 4 requires careful handling due to the weight of the spruce panels and the large surface area of the tempered glass. Because it utilises a 4.5kW stove, thermal expansion management is key during the assembly of the timber staves.

1. Receipt & "Surface Area" Audit (Mandatory)

  • The 24-Hour Inspection Rule: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm tempered glass front, the 4.5kW Harvia stove, and all Spruce wall panels within 24 hours.
  • Spruce Integrity: Check for any transit-related splits in the spruce. As a natural product, knots are expected, but structural cracks must be reported immediately.
  • Access Check: The panels for a 150x150cm unit are bulky. Ensure you have a clear path to the room of installation, specifically for the 2-meter-tall corner posts and glass door.

2. Site Preparation: The Square Foundation

  • The Floor: A 150 x 150 cm perfectly level surface is non-negotiable. If the floor is uneven, the square geometry of the cabin will "rack," preventing the 8mm glass door from sealing correctly, which leads to heat loss and potential glass stress.
  • Surface Material: Tiled or stone floors are preferred. Avoid carpet. If installing on wood, a waterproof membrane is recommended under the stove area.
  • Airflow: Maintain a 5cm to 10cm gap from the three wooden walls to the room walls. This allows the Canadian Spruce to expand and contract without pressing against your home’s structure.

3. Installation Pathway

Pathway A: Professional Installation (Recommended)

  • Precision: Specialists will ensure the "squareness" of the 150cm base, which is critical for the two-tier bench stability.
  • Lighting Integration: They will manage the hidden wiring for the corner lights and the "mood" lighting positioned beneath the benches.

Pathway B: Self-Assembly (2-3 Person Task)

  • The Build Sequence: Assemble the three spruce walls first. Do not fully tighten the vertical fasteners until the glass front is slotted in; this allows for minor adjustments to ensure the glass is perfectly plumb.
  • Bench Fitting: Install the lower bench, then the upper bench. Ensure the load-bearing struts are screwed into the solid spruce wall studs, not just the decorative cladding.
  • Glass Safety: The 8mm door is heavy. Have two people hold the glass while a third secures the hinges.

4. Commissioning & Thermal Stabilisation

  • Harvia Stove Setup: Mount the 4.5kW stove. Ensure the rock container is filled loosely with the provided lava stones (washed first) to prevent restricted airflow and element burnout.
  • The "First Burn" (Curing): Run the sauna at 60°C for 90 minutes with the door open. This allows the Canadian Spruce to "breathe" out any manufacturing moisture and stabilises the grain before it is subjected to 80°C+ steam sessions.
  • Lighting Check: Confirm the under-bench lighting provides an even glow and that the corner lights are operational before final trim is applied.

Installation Readiness Checklist

  • Inspection: Glass facade, Harvia stove, and Spruce panels checked within 24 hours?
  • Floor: Level and waterproof surface verified at 150 x 150 cm?
  • Power: Dedicated 20A/25A line ready for the 4.5kW Harvia stove?
  • Manpower: 2-3 adults confirmed for assembly (especially for the glass door)?
  • Ventilation: Room-side extractor fan or window confirmed for steam management?

France Sauna Sense 4: Warranty Statement

SN-SENSE-4PK | 4-Person Spruce & Harvia Protection

The Sense 4 is a high-volume indoor sauna. To maintain the validity of your 7-year wood warranty and 2-year electronic coverage, the following professional standards for 150x150cm indoor cabins must be strictly followed.

1. Warranty Duration

France Sauna (Poolstar) provides the following coverage for this traditional Nordic model:

  • Wood Structure: 7-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure, or rot of the 100% Canadian Spruce panels.
  • Electronics: 2-Year Warranty covering the Harvia stove elements, internal control wiring, and the dual-zone lighting (corner and under-bench).
  • Usage: These terms apply strictly to private domestic indoor installations.

2. Conditions for Validity

To protect your coverage, these technical and environmental conditions are mandatory:

  • Certified Hardwiring: The 4.5kW Harvia stove must be hardwired by a Registered Electrician to a dedicated 25A/32A circuit. Damage to elements or lighting transformers caused by "daisy-chaining" circuits or improper amperage will void the 2-year electronics warranty.
  • Indoor Environment Only: The Sense 4 is not designed for outdoor use. Installation in non-climate-controlled areas (e.g., damp garages, sheds, or conservatories with extreme temperature swings) will void the 7-year wood warranty due to the potential for excessive moisture expansion or mould in the spruce.
  • Structural Squareness: Because this model is 150x150cm, the floor must be 100% level. Any structural "racking" from an uneven base that causes the 8mm panoramic glass door to drag or fail to seal is not covered under warranty.

3. The 24-Hour Inspection Rule (Glass & Accessories)

  • Panoramic Front: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm tempered glass panels and the safety glass door for any chips or cracks within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Sauna Kit: Check the wooden bucket, ladle, and glass instruments (thermometer/hygrometer) for transit damage upon arrival.

4. Material Integrity & Care

  • Spruce Maintenance: Canadian Spruce is a natural, aromatic wood. To maintain the warranty, do not apply sealants, paints, or varnishes to the interior. These block the wood's pores and can release toxic fumes at 80°C.
  • Dual-Tier Bench Protection: To prevent the spruce from absorbing sweat and body oils (which leads to permanent staining), the use of towels on both the upper and lower benches is mandatory.
  • Harvia Stove Care: Use only the provided Harvia lava stones. Ensure they are placed loosely. If stones are packed too tightly, it restricts airflow and causes the 4.5kW elements to overheat and fail prematurely.

5. Claims Procedure

In the event of a technical or structural issue:

  1. Documentation: Provide your original purchase record and the GTIN (SN-SENSE-4PK).
  2. Electrical Evidence: For any electronic or stove claims, you must provide the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) showing a professional dedicated feed.
  3. Photos: Clear images of the floor level, the room's ventilation, and the specific defect will be required.

Warranty Validity Checklist

  •  Inspection: Reported any transit damage to the glass front within 24 hours?
  •  Environment: Is the sauna in a temperature-controlled indoor room?
  •  Electrical: Is the 4.5kW Harvia unit hardwired and certified?
  •  Maintenance: Are towels being used to protect the spruce benches?
