France Sauna Sense 3 | 3-Person Panoramic Finnish Steam Sauna

The France Sauna Sense 3 (SN-SENSE-3PK) is a definitive progress in home sauna architecture, designed to blend the deep-rooted well-being traditions of the Nordic countries with a contemporary, open-plan aesthetic. Standing on a robust 100% Canadian Spruce frame, the Sense 3 replaces traditional timber walls with a Fully Glazed Panoramic Facade. This 8mm tempered glass front eliminates the "closed-in" feel of traditional cabins, offering a seamless visual connection to your interior environment.

Equipped with a genuine 3.5kW Harvia Finnish stove, the Sense 3 delivers an authentic dry heat experience. By adding water to the included lava stones, you create the essential "Löyly" (steam), rapidly reaching temperatures of 80°C to release physical tension and promote instant relaxation.

Why the Sense 3 is the 2026 Choice for Modern Homes:

1. Fully Glazed Contemporary Facade

The Sense 3 is engineered for the modern homeowner who values light and space:

  • 8mm Panoramic Glass: The entire front of the sauna is crafted from heavy-duty tempered safety glass, designed to withstand extreme thermal gradients while providing a 180-degree view.
  • Minimalist Aesthetics: The combination of light Canadian Spruce and expansive glass ensures the sauna enhances, rather than dominates, the room’s décor.

2. Dual-Level "Thermal Tier" Seating

Despite its compact 153 x 110 cm footprint, the Sense 3 features an ergonomic two-tier bench system:

  • Progressive Sessions: Begin your session on the lower bench for a moderate introduction to the heat, then move to the upper tier for deeper sweating and intense toxin elimination.
  • Soft Atmospheric Lighting: Unlike harsh overhead lights, the Sense features integrated soft lighting in the upper corners and discreetly beneath the benches, creating a tranquil, glare-free environment.

3. Harvia Finnish Engineering

At the heart of the Sense 3 is the world-renowned Harvia heating system:

  • Optimised 3.5kW Output: Calibrated specifically for 3-person volumes to ensure efficient power consumption without sacrificing the "Intense Heat" experience.
  • Traditional Kit Included: The sauna is supplied ready for use with a premium Finnish accessory set: wooden bucket, ladle, hygrometer/thermometer, and hourglass.

  • Electrical Requirement: The 3.5kW Harvia stove requires a dedicated 16A to 20A single-phase supply. It should be hard-wired by a qualified electrician to a dedicated circuit to ensure safety and performance.
  • Surface Requirements: Install on a perfectly level, non-porous floor (tiles, stone, or polished concrete). Canadian Spruce is naturally durable, but a water-resistant base is essential for traditional steam sessions.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the room has standard natural or mechanical ventilation to manage the residual humidity after a session.

Holl’s & France Sauna Buying Guide

Ensuring a Smooth, Safe, and Professional Sauna Delivery Experience. This guide outlines the complete process from placing your order to installation, safety checks, and aftercare. Following these steps will help ensure a seamless delivery and setup of your Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna, whether you are installing it at home or in a professional wellness environment.

1. Place Your Order

  • Choose your preferred Holl’s Sauna or France Sauna model — whether infrared, traditional indoor, hybrid, or outdoor. Complete your purchase on our website by providing your delivery address.
  • The price listed includes delivery within mainland UK (exclusions include the Channel Islands, areas of Scotland, and Ireland).
  • You will receive an order confirmation email immediately with your order details, estimated delivery timeframe, and next steps.
  • To ensure smooth access on the day of delivery, we may request photos or a short video of the delivery area, access routes, or surrounding space.
  • This helps our logistics team confirm the feasibility of delivery and kerbside unloading requirements.
  • All saunas are held in our UK warehouse and prepared for dispatch once your order is confirmed. Kerbside delivery and unloading are included at no additional cost.

2. Order Processing & Preparation

  • Once your order is confirmed, your sauna is scheduled for preparation and dispatch.
  • Our saunas are crafted from premium-grade wood, selected for durability, insulation, and aesthetic quality.
  • All components — including the cabin structure, benches, glazing, and heating elements — are prepared, quality checked, and securely packaged for shipment.

3. Delivery Organisation

When your sauna is ready, we organise pallet delivery of the flat-pack components to your address (kerbside).

You will be notified of:

  • Delivery date
  • Estimated time window
  • Any access requirements (e.g., suitable driveway space for pallet trucks)
  • Your sauna is dispatched directly from our UK warehouse, and unloading is included at no additional charge.

4. Pre-Installation Preparation

Before delivery, please ensure:

  • A suitable foundation
  • The base must be level, stable, and capable of supporting the sauna’s full weight, including that of its occupants.
  • Clear access
  • Access routes should be unobstructed to facilitate the movement of pallets and components.
  • Electrical Preparation (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All electrical work is entirely the customer’s responsibility.

Requirements vary depending on the model and the layout of your property.

You must:

  • Arrange for a qualified electrician prior to installation.
  • Check the electrical specifications listed on the product page.
  • Ensure correct cable sizing, breaker and isolator selection, and compliance with UK electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
  • Provide your electrician with the manufacturer’s electrical manual in advance.
  • Where possible, have the electrician present on installation day.
  • Important: Failure to use a qualified electrician or failure to meet the required electrical standards may void the warranty.
  • Each product page includes an Electrical Supply section for further clarification.

If self-assembling:

  • Review the assembly manual provided with your order.
  • Prepare the necessary tools and sufficient manpower in advance.

5. Delivery & Unloading

On the scheduled delivery day:

  • Your sauna arrives on a pallet
  • Our delivery team unloads the pallet (via pump truck/trolley where possible)
  • Components are placed at your designated kerbside or base area

Once delivered, please:

  • Unpack all components
  • Check for missing or damaged parts
  • Report any issues within 24 hours to maintain warranty eligibility

6. Installation / Assembly

Professional Installation (Optional)

  • If you choose professional installation, our experienced carpenters will assemble your sauna within one full day.

What Our Team Does:

  • Full assembly of the sauna build only
  • Correct fitting of all internal components (no electrical hookup)
  • Final checks to ensure the sauna is ready for commissioning
  • Installation quotes can be requested directly from the product page. Pricing varies by model; we do not charge for travel.

Self-Assembly (Flat-Pack)

If you prefer to self-assemble:

  • Follow the detailed instruction manual
  • Assembly usually takes 1–2 days, depending on experience
  • Electrical Connection (Customer’s Responsibility)
  • All wiring, final electrical connection, and compliance with UK standards must be carried out by a qualified electrician appointed by the customer.

This includes:

  • Correct cable sizing
  • Safe heater connection
  • Isolation switch requirements
  • Certification of the installation
  • Incorrect or uncertified electrical work will void the warranty.

7. Finishing Touches & Safety Check

Once assembled:

  • Apply a breathable oil-based finish to interior and exterior wood surfaces (required for warranty validity)
  • Confirm the structure is level and stable
  • Check all doors, glazing, and ventilation
  • After wiring is complete, perform a first heat-up test
  • Obtain any required electrical certification from your electrician

8. Enjoy Your Sauna & Ongoing Support

Your sauna is now ready to use.

Please remember:

  • Self-assembled saunas carry a 1-year manufacturer's parts warranty
  • A qualified electrician must complete any electrical work
  • Missing or damaged components must be reported within 24 hours
  • Our support team is always available for assistance or replacement parts

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Technical Specification: Electrical Supply

CRITICAL: NOTICE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER

Owner’s Brief for the France Sauna Sense 3 (3-Person)

The Sense 3 requires a 3.5kW (Approx 15.2 Amps) supply. In the UK, a standard 13A plug is insufficient for this load. This unit must be hardwired to a dedicated circuit by a Registered Electrician.

THE GOLDEN RULE: While this document provides manufacturer guidelines, you must always defer to the professional judgment of your Registered Electrician. If their on-site assessment contradicts this brief, follow the electrician’s instructions.

1. Power Infrastructure Requirements

The 3.5kW Harvia stove is designed for a consistent thermal draw.

Harvia Finnish Stove

15.2A

Hardwired

Dual-Zone Lighting

Low Voltage

Via Internal Transformer

Pre-wired to cthe ontrol box

  • Circuit Specification: A dedicated 20A radial circuit is recommended.
  • Cable Selection: Your electrician will typically specify 2.5mm² or 4mm² cable, depending on the distance from the consumer unit.
  • Isolation Switch: A weatherproof or indoor-rated 20A Double-Pole Isolation Switch should be installed near the sauna entrance for safety and maintenance.

2. Safety & Circuit Protection

  • RCD Protection: The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD at the consumer unit to prevent electrical leakage in the high-humidity steam environment.
  • Heat-Resistant Cabling: The final connection from the wall outlet/isolator to the Harvia stove must be made using high-temperature silicone cable (typically supplied or specified by the electrician) to withstand the internal heat of the spruce cabin.

3. Lighting & Ambience Wiring

  • Integrated Zones: The Sense 3 features lighting in the upper corners and beneath the benches. These are fed through a small transformer.
  • Cable Routing: Ensure the electrician routes the lighting cables through the pre-drilled channels in the Spruce panels before the dual-tier benches are permanently fixed. This hides the wiring and maintains the "clean" aesthetic of the panoramic glass front.

4. Commissioning

  • Stove Clearances: The Harvia 3.5kW unit must be mounted to the spruce wall with strict adherence to the minimum safety distances to prevent scorching the timber.
  • Certification: Your electrician must provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or a Minor Works Certificate. This is essential for your home insurance and to validate your 2-year electronics warranty.

Owner’s Electrical Action Plan

  1. Survey: Have your electrician confirm your consumer unit can accommodate a new 20A dedicated breaker.
  2. Pre-Wire: Pull the cable to the sauna location before the three spruce walls are assembled.
  3. Component Check: Ensure the Harvia stove and lava stones are ready for the electrician's final hook-up.
  4. Test: Verify both the corner lights and the under-bench "mood" lighting are functioning correctly before the electrician leaves.

Delivery & Installation Protocol: France Sauna Sense 3

SN-SENSE-3PK | Panoramic Canadian Spruce Edition

This model features a dual-tier bench system within a compact footprint. The primary technical challenge is the alignment of the 8mm glass front with the spruce side walls to ensure a vacuum-tight heat seal.

1. Receipt & "Wood & Glass" Audit (Mandatory)

  • The 24-Hour Inspection Rule: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm tempered glass facade, the Harvia stove, and the Spruce panels within 24 hours.
  • Spruce Grain Check: Canadian Spruce is a natural material; inspect panels for any structural splits. Surface knots are a standard feature of this "authentic" wood and do not affect the warranty.
  • Component Check: Verify the traditional sauna kit (bucket, ladle, hourglass, thermometer/hygrometer) is present.

2. Site Preparation: The Indoor Anchor

  • The Base: Must be 100% level. Since the Sense 3 uses a two-tier bench system, any lean in the cabin will place uneven weight on the bench supports, potentially causing creaking or structural fatigue over time.
  • Flooring: A tiled, stone, or concrete floor is best. This model uses steam (water on stones); a waterproof floor ensures any splashes do not damage your subfloor.
  • Clearance: Allow a 5cm air gap around the three wooden walls to prevent heat transfer to your room walls and to facilitate the "breathing" of the Canadian Spruce.

3. Installation Pathway: The "Box-in-Box" Build

Pathway A: Professional Installation

  • Expertise: Specialists will ensure the vertical spruce staves are perfectly plumb before hanging the heavy 8mm glass door.
  • Stove Mounting: Precise mounting of the Harvia 3.5kW stove to maintain safety clearances from the spruce walls and benches.

Pathway B: Self-Assembly (2 Person Task)

  • The Build: Start with the back wall and work forward toward the glass front. The Sense uses a tongue-and-groove or clip system that requires two people to keep panels aligned while fastening.
  • Bench Installation: The two-tier benches must be installed before the glass front is fully secured to allow for maximum manoeuvring space inside the 153cm wide cabin.
  • Lighting: Route the corner and under-bench lighting cables before the ceiling panel is dropped into place.

4. Commissioning & "Seasoning"

  • Stone Preparation: Wash the Harvia lava stones to remove dust. Place them loosely in the 3.5kW stove to allow air to circulate through the elements.

  • The "First Sweat" Protocol: Heat the sauna to 60°C for 60 minutes with the door slightly ajar. This removes the "new wood" smell and allows the Canadian Spruce to settle into its expanded state.

  • Lighting Test: Ensure the "soft lighting" beneath the bench and the corner lights are functioning and providing an even glow.

Installation Readiness Checklist

  •  Inspection: Glass facade and Harvia stove checked within 24 hours?
  •  Floor: Level, waterproof surface ready?
  • Power: Dedicated 230V line ready for the 3.5kW load?
  •  Manpower: 2 adults ready for the 3-wall-to-glass assembly?
  •  Ventilation: Is the room capable of handling an 80°C ambient heat rise?

France Sauna Sense 3: Warranty Statement

SN-SENSE-3PK | Canadian Spruce & Harvia Protection Terms

The Sense 3 is a traditional steam sauna designed for longevity. To protect your 7-year wood warranty and 2-year electronics coverage, the following professional standards for indoor spruce cabins must be observed.

1. Warranty Duration

France Sauna (Poolstar) provides a tiered warranty for this authentic Nordic-style cabin:

  • Wood Structure: 7-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, structural failure, or rot in the 100% Canadian Spruce panels.
  • Electronics: 2-Year Warranty covering the Harvia stove elements, the dual-zone lighting (corner and under-bench), and the internal control wiring.
  • Usage: These terms apply strictly to private domestic indoor installations.

2. Conditions for Validity

To maintain your coverage, the following technical and environmental standards are mandatory:

  • Professional Hardwiring: The Harvia 3.5kW stove must be hardwired by a Registered Electrician to a dedicated circuit. Faults resulting from "plug-and-play" adapters or shared ring mains will void the 2-year electronics warranty.
  • Indoor Climate Control: The Sense 3 is an indoor-only model. Installation in damp garages, uninsulated outbuildings, or outdoors (even under cover) will void the 7-year wood warranty due to the potential for the spruce to warp or mould in uncontrolled humidity.
  • Level Sub-floor: The cabin must be installed on a 100% level surface. Any structural "racking" that leads to the 8mm glass door misaligning or dragging is considered an installation error and is not covered.

3. The 24-Hour Inspection Rule (Glass & Accessories)

  • Panoramic Front: You must unbox and inspect the 8mm tempered glass panels and report any transit damage or edge chips within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Sauna Kit: Ensure the bucket, ladle, and glass instruments (thermometer/hygrometer) are checked for cracks upon arrival.

4. Material Integrity & Care

  • Canadian Spruce: Spruce is a "living" material. Small surface knots and minor resin pockets are natural and expected. To maintain the 7-year warranty, do not paint or varnish the interior of the sauna, as this prevents the wood from breathing and releasing heat.
  • Dual-Tier Bench Hygiene: To prevent staining of the spruce benches from perspiration and salt, the use of towels is mandatory during every session.
  • Stove Maintenance: Use only the provided Harvia lava stones. Rinse the stones before the first use. Every 6–12 months, remove and rearrange the stones to ensure air continues to flow freely over the elements, preventing premature burnout.

5. Claims Procedure

In the event of a technical or structural issue:

  1. Documentation: Provide your original purchase record and the GTIN (SN-SENSE-3PK).
  2. Electrical Evidence: For any stove or lighting claims, you must provide the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) showing a professional dedicated feed.
  3. Photos: Clear images of the floor level, the room's ventilation, and the specific defect will be required for assessment.

Warranty Validity Checklist

  •  Inspection: Reported any transit damage to the glass facade within 24 hours?
  •  Environment: Is the sauna in a temperature-controlled indoor room?
  •  Electrical: Is the 3.5kW Harvia stove hardwired and certified?
  •  Maintenance: Are towels being used to protect the spruce benches?
