1. Place Your Order & Site Check

• The Access Video: The Crown II is a 199cm diameter circular spa. Because it is a rigid, round unit, we require a video showing the route from the kerbside to the base.
• The Metrics: With a height of 89cm, this tub is exceptionally deep. We need to see any height-restricted gates or archways. Once reviewed, we will issue your final order confirmation.

2. What To Do If Access Is Limited

• Round tubs can be tricky on tight corners. If your access path is narrower than 940mm (89cm depth + 50mm buffer), or if there are sharp 90-degree turns, a crane may be required.
• Responsibility: If a crane is deemed necessary, you will need to organise this with a local provider. We will coordinate our arrival to match their lifting schedule.

3. Manufacture & Preparation

• Your Crown II features the Nordic Permashell™—a textured, non-skid HDPE surface that is virtually indestructible.
• Quality Control: Each unit is bench-tested in the USA to ensure the 21 hydrotherapy jets and 2kW heater meet Nordic’s stringent "Holiday Park" durability standards before being shipped to our centre.

4. Delivery Scheduling

• Once ready, we will book an all-day installation slot. Expect a call roughly one hour before our team pulls up to your property.

5. Site Preparation

• The Base: A level, reinforced concrete pad or structural decking is required to support the 1,216kg filled weight.
• Access Routes: * Pathway Width: Minimum 940mm.
• Height Clearance: Minimum 2190mm (199cm width + 200mm buffer) when the tub is on its side for transit.

6. Electrical Supply (16 Amp / 20 Amp)

1. Our Responsibility vs Your Responsibility

It is essential to understand the boundaries of our service to avoid delays on delivery day:

• OUR ROLE: We are professional spa technicians. We are responsible for the physical positioning of the tub and the final connection from your provided isolator switch to the spa’s internal control pack.
• YOUR ROLE: You are responsible for the installation of the appropriate electrical supply. We are not qualified or insured to install domestic wiring, circuit breakers, or rotary isolator switches. This work must be completed and tested by your electrician prior to our arrival.

2. The Specification (Performance Standard)

The Crown II requires a dedicated supply to ensure the 2kW heater and the high-speed pump can operate simultaneously.

3. Installation Mandatory Requirements

• Rotary Isolator: Your electrician must install an IP65-rated waterproof rotary isolator located between 2 and 3 metres from the hot tub. This is a legal safety requirement.
• The "Tail" Cable: A length of 3-core SWA Armoured Cable must be connected to the load side of the isolator.
• Length: Ensure your electrician leaves at least 5 metres of spare cable coiled at the isolator. Our team will route this to the spa.
• No Extension Leads: Under no circumstances can this spa be powered via an extension lead or a standard 13A household socket. Doing so is a fire risk and will void your warranty.

4. Failure to Prepare

If our delivery team arrives and the electrical supply is not present, is incorrectly rated, or has not been installed by a qualified professional:

1. We will not make the electrical connection.
2. We will position the tub and install accessories, but we cannot test or commission the system.

Return Visit Fees: A "Return to Commission" fee will apply for a second visit once you have corrected the electrical supply.

1. Eligibility — Special Orders and Hot Tubs

• Special Orders: Special orders are prepared specifically to your requirements and are non-returnable unless under warranty.
• Hot Tubs: Cove hot tubs are non-returnable unless under warranty.
• Change of Mind: Because these items are specialised and, where applicable, configured to order, we cannot accept returns or refunds for a "change of mind".
• Accuracy: Please verify all site dimensions, specifications and technical requirements before finalising your order.

2. Order Cancellations and Amendments

• Cancellation Window: You may cancel or amend your order at any time before it is confirmed for production or dispatch.
• After Confirmation: Once a special order has been confirmed for manufacture or dispatch, cancellations and amendments may no longer be possible.
• Accuracy Check: Amendments after order placement are subject to confirmation and may not be possible once your specification has been released.

3. Reporting Transit Damage or Missing Items

• Inspect on Delivery: Check all items carefully as soon as they arrive, and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork.
• Timeframe: Report any transit damage or missing parts promptly — within 24 to 48 hours of delivery.

4. Claim and Assessment Procedure

• Submission: Send your report, proof of purchase and delivery date, and supporting photographs or video to contact@balancerecovery.co.uk.
• Assessment: We assess each claim and, where required, liaise with the manufacturer to confirm the fault or shortage.
• Outcome: Once assessed, we coordinate the appropriate remedy — repair, replacement of parts, full replacement or refund — in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Refund and Replacement Conditions

• Covered Circumstances: Refunds or replacements are provided only where goods are defective, damaged in transit or not as described.
• Not Covered: Change of mind, incorrect measurement or specification supplied by the customer, and normal characteristics of natural materials are not grounds for return of special orders or hot tubs.

• Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: Bespoke and made-to-order goods are legally exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period for distance selling.
