4. Preparation Checklist (Pre-Delivery) Two areas of preparation are essential:

• The Foundation: Provide a solid, level base engineered to support the structure plus the "live load" of water and users. The Taurus Classic weighs approximately 950 kg empty; once the integrated hot tub is filled and occupied, the loaded weight is considerably higher, so your base (reinforced concrete, slab or structurally rated alternative) must be rated well above the dry weight and be perfectly level.
• Electrical Requirements: Electrical installation is the customer's responsibility, and the Taurus Classic requires a three-phase supply. Consult a qualified electrician before ordering. We provide the specific wiring and heater manuals in advance so they can prepare the correct armoured cabling and RCD protection.

5. Delivery & Inspection

• Palletised Arrival: Your sauna arrives securely palletised and weather-wrapped to protect the timber.
• Integrated Assistance: Kerbside delivery is standard; where access permits, our crew gets the pallet as close to position as possible and assists in carrying the individual components to your installation site.
• The 24-Hour Rule: Once unpacked, check all components carefully. To maintain warranty eligibility, any missing or damaged items must be reported within 24 hours.

6. Installation Pathways

• Option A — Internal Installation Team: We deploy 2–3 qualified carpenters to assemble on-site, with most builds completed in one working day (larger bespoke structures may take longer). The fee covers the build; travel is free within Mainland UK (England). Channel Islands, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Wight and Guernsey are quoted separately. For the Taurus Classic, the hot tub is positioned and connected as part of installation.
• Option B — Independent Carpenter: If you don't use our team, we strongly recommend a qualified carpenter handles assembly to factory specification.

The options below are the heaters offered for the Taurus Classic; each is sized by its manufacturer to a recommended room volume. Celsium does not publish the cabin's interior volume in m³, so treat these manufacturer room-volume ratings — together with your installer's advice — as the sizing guide, and confirm the final choice with us at order.

Electrical Supply & Installation

The Taurus Classic has no single fixed electrical requirement: it is determined by the heater specified at order. Some heaters can run on a standard single-phase supply; most of the higher-output electric options need three-phase. Wood-burning stoves need no electrical supply to the heater at all.

The general rule

• Smaller 6–9 kW Harvia heaters (for example the Cilindro PC90 at 9 kW) can be wired single-phase 230 V — at a higher amperage, on a dedicated high-current radial — or three-phase 400 V.
• The Harvia Spirit SP90E, every HUUM heater, and any heater of 10.5 kW or more are three-phase 400 V (3N~) only.
• Wood-burning stoves need no electrical supply to produce heat (a flue/chimney and building-control sign-off apply instead).
• The hybrid infrared option runs on a standard 230 V supply.

What this means for the Taurus Classic: every electric sauna heater offered for the Classic — Harvia Spirit 9 kW, Cilindro 10.8 kW and Legend 10.8 kW; HUUM Drop, Hive Mini and Core; Tulikivi Halla E 9 kW; Saunum Experience 9 kW — should be planned as a three-phase 400 V, hard-wired connection. Only the hybrid infrared runs on 230 V, and wood-burning needs no supply to the heater. Celsium does not publish a supply specification for the cabin itself the authoritative figures are always in the chosen heater's own manual.

Heater electrical reference (Taurus Classic options)

Figures are the manufacturers' official datasheet values for the dedicated heater circuit. Hot-tub heat-pump/water-heater and whirlpool-pump loads are separate and additional to the sauna heater circuit.

For the Tulikivi and Saunum rows, use the specific model's own manual: the comparable Tulikivi Riite 9 kW is three-phase, 3 × 16 A, 5 × 2.5 mm², room 5–15 m³, but the Halla E figures must be confirmed from its datasheet.

Installation requirements (UK)

• All work must be carried out by a qualified electrician and comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
• Provide a dedicated, hard-wired radial circuit for the heater — do not share it with other loads.
• Protect the circuit with an appropriate RCD/RCBO and fit a local isolator / means of disconnection within reach of the heater.
• Electrical installation is the customer's responsibility and should be arranged before delivery so the connection can be certified at commissioning.
• Always follow the exact fuse, cable and RCD figures in the chosen heater's manual — these can differ between models of the same kW.

Quick sizing note (Watts ÷ Volts = Amps)

Current draw = power ÷ voltage. A 9 kW heater on a 230 V single-phase supply pulls roughly 9,000 ÷ 230 ≈ 39 A, which is why single-phase installations of larger heaters need a high-current radial and thicker cable. Spread across a 400 V three-phase supply, the same 9 kW draws far less per phase (≈ 13 A per phase), which is why three-phase is preferred — and often required — for the higher-output heaters offered on the Taurus Classic.
