Benas IN— The Wood-Fired Hot Tub with an Internal Premium Stove

The Celsium Benas IN is a classic round wood-fired hot tub with an internal premium stove — a compact, efficient design that heats the water by wood fire alone, with no electricity required. Built for shared, off-grid relaxation, it's suited to gardens and terraces and delivered fully pre-assembled, ready to position, fill and fire.

Choose from two sizes: Ø 2 m (seats 4–6, ~1,000 L) or Ø 2.25 m (seats 6–8, ~1,400 L), reaching temperature in around 1.5–2 hours. A smooth, hygienic liner — fibreglass as standard, or upgraded acrylic with solid and marble finishes — sits within an insulated body, finished outside in natural wood or weather-resistant WPC, with the option of Shou Sugi Ban (burnt spruce) for a striking matte-black exterior. Branded Celsium steps are included for easy access, and adjustable RGB LED lighting and a thermo-leather cover are available.

The internal stove is built from marine-grade AISI 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and a long service life. The Benas IN is CE certified and insulated for efficient heat retention. Because every unit is made to order, you choose the size, liner, exterior finish and accessories to suit your space and routine.

Buying Guide +

The Celsium Hot Tub Experience Buying Guide

How It Works

The Celsium range represents the pinnacle of Nordic-inspired outdoor wellness. Because each hot tub is made to order to your chosen specification, we follow a meticulous process to ensure your delivery and set-up are seamless and transparent. Below is the step-by-step journey from your initial order to your first soak.

1. Consultation, Place Your Order & Site Assessment Your journey begins with choosing your Benas IN— size (Ø 2 m or Ø 2.25 m), liner, exterior finish and accessories. We invite you to schedule a personalised consultation with our specialist team to discuss your project.

  • Proactive Logistics: Before your hot tub enters production, we consult our "last-mile" delivery team to verify property access and site details, as the Benas IN is delivered fully assembled.
  • Bespoke Confirmation: Once we're confident the site is accessible and the specification is correct, your order is officially logged.

2. Handcrafted Production Celsium hot tubs are handcrafted to order, not mass-produced.

  • The Timeline: Due to the bespoke nature, the production lead time is approximately 6 weeks.
  • Total Lead Time: With an additional ~2 weeks for secure transit and delivery coordination, the total journey from order to doorstep is approximately 8 weeks.

3. Delivery (Fully Pre-Assembled)

  • Complimentary Delivery: Delivery to your kerbside is free of charge across UK Mainland.
  • Pre-Assembled: Unlike our flat-pack saunas, the Benas INarrives complete and ready to use — no on-site build required. A forklift or crane may be needed for unloading and positioning depending on access; we can help coordinate this.

4. Preparation Checklist (Pre-Delivery)

  • The Foundation: Provide a solid, level base able to support the tub plus the "live load" of water and occupants. Water alone adds roughly 1,000–1,400 kg depending on size, so a reinforced concrete pad, slab or structurally rated base is essential, and it must be perfectly level.
  • No Electrical Supply Required to Heat: The Benas IN is wood-fired, so no mains hook-up is needed to warm the water. If you add optional RGB LED lighting, arrange a suitable low-voltage supply with a qualified electrician.
  • Stove Clearances & Ventilation: Position with safe clearances around the internal stove and flue, and keep combustibles clear — we'll provide the guidance for your build.

5. Delivery & Inspection

  • Palletised, Pre-Assembled Arrival: Your hot tub arrives securely palletised and weather-wrapped, fully assembled.
  • Integrated Assistance: Kerbside delivery is standard; where access permits, our crew helps position the tub as close to its final location as possible.
  • The 24-Hour Rule: On delivery, inspect the tub carefully. To maintain warranty eligibility, any damage must be reported within 24 hours.

6. Positioning, Filling & First Fire

  • Position & Fill: Set the tub on its prepared, level base and fill with clean water.
  • First Fire: Light the internal stove; the water reaches a comfortable temperature in around 1.5–2 hours. Never light the stove without water covering it.
  • Water Care: Maintain water quality with appropriate treatment, keep the optional cover on between soaks to retain heat, and drain down in hard frost if not in use.

7. Aftercare & Ongoing Support

  • Aftercare: Periodically clean the liner and inspect the stove and timber exterior; re-treat natural timber as needed for your local climate.
  • Ongoing Support: As your dedicated reseller, we're here for the long haul — contact us anytime for accessories, maintenance advice or technical assistance.
Heater Information +

Heater Information

The Benas IN is heated by a new-style internal premium stove — a wood-burning heater with internal loading that sits inside the tub (Celsium lists it as a Wood-Burning Heater, internal loading). Positioned within the water, it warms the tub directly and keeps the overall footprint compact, and it needs no gas, mains electricity or other fuel to heat.

  • Material: Marine-grade AISI 304 stainless steel as standard, with an AISI 316 stainless steel upgrade for enhanced corrosion resistance (recommended for salt-water, chlorinated or coastal use).
  • Fuel: Wood only — heating is by wood fire; no electrical supply is required to reach temperature.
  • Warm-up: From cold, the water reaches a comfortable soaking temperature in approximately 1.5–2 hours, depending on size, starting water temperature and conditions.
  • Flue / chimney: As a wood-burning heater, the stove vents through a flue/chimney. Celsium does not publish the flue dimensions, height or the exact chimney-kit specification for the internal stove.
  • Heat output: Celsium does not publish a kW output or kW-equivalent for the wood-fired stove — before quoting any figure.

Safe Operation

  • Never light the stove without water covering it — firing it dry can damage the stove and voids the warranty.
  • Guard against contact burns: the stove and its surfaces become very hot in use; avoid direct contact with the heater inside the tub and supervise children at all times.
  • Clearances: keep combustible materials clear of the stove and flue, and maintain safe clearances as advised for your build.

Optional Powered Equipment

The wood-fired stove needs no electricity, but Celsium offers optional, electrically-powered add-ons (each requires a suitable mains supply — see Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT below):

  • Electric water heater — 3 kW, 6 kW or 9 kW, as an optional supplementary heat source alongside the wood stove.
  • Hydro massage system — approx. 1.1 kW (electric pump; 8 or 10 nozzles).
  • Air bubble massage — approx. 0.7 kW (electric blower; 12 nozzles).
  • Antibacterial UV lamp, water filtration (sand filter) and adjustable RGB LED lighting.
Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Electrical Supply & Installation Of Celsium Benas IN

Heating is by the internal wood-burning stove alone. There is no heat pump and no chiller on the Bennis In: the water is warmed by wood fire, not electricity, so the tub can be enjoyed completely off-grid, with no mains connection needed to reach temperature. (Celsium's separate dual-temperature/hybrid model is a different product and is not offered as part of the Bennis In.)

Optional electrics need a suitable supply

If you select any of the optional powered equipment, it must be connected to a suitable electrical supply by a qualified electrician:

  • Adjustable RGB LED lighting
  • Optional electric water heater (3 kW / 6 kW / 9 kW)
  • Hydro (approx. 1.1 kW) or air bubble (approx. 0.7 kW) massage systems
  • Antibacterial UV lamp and water filtration

Installation requirements

  • All electrical work must comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and be carried out by a qualified, registered electrician.
  • Provide a dedicated circuit with appropriate RCD protection, suitably rated for the selected equipment and for outdoor/wet-location use.
  • The higher-power options (for example the 6 kW and 9 kW electric water heater) draw significant current; the exact voltage, phase and circuit rating must be confirmed for the chosen equipment. (Celsium does not publish supply specifications. your electrician should specify the final circuit.)
Delivery & Installation +

Delivery and installation for the Celsium Benas IN Hot Tub

  • Total Lead Time: With ~2 weeks for transit and coordination, approximately 8 weeks from order to doorstep.

Delivery & Handover

  • Base: A solid, level, load-bearing base (reinforced concrete, slab or equivalent) rated comfortably above the filled weight (water adds ~1,000–1,400 kg) is essential.
  • Optional Lighting: If RGB LED lighting is selected, a qualified electrician should provide the low-voltage supply.

Aftercare

Returns and Refunds Policy: Bespoke & Made-to-Order Collection

At Balance Recovery, we curate premium, made-to-order products. Because items in our bespoke range are commissioned specifically to your requirements, our returns and refunds policy reflects their specialised nature.

1. The Bespoke Nature of Your Purchase

  • Final Sale: Due to the personalised nature of these items, we cannot accept returns or refunds for a "change of mind" once the order has entered production.
  • Accuracy: Please verify all site dimensions and technical requirements before finalising an order.

2. Natural Material Disclosure Crafted from sustainably sourced timber, every unit shows distinct grain, knots and texture; final shading may vary slightly from images or samples; minor surface "shakes" (small cracks) may occur as the wood adapts — none of these are defects.

3. Order Cancellations and Amendments

  • Cancellation Window: You may cancel or amend within 24 hours of placing your order.
