Product Description -

BR Solo Ice Bath | Grey Fibreglass & Wood Heritage Cold Plunge

The BR Solo Ice Bath (2026 Edition) is the professional’s choice for permanent cold therapy installations. Moving away from temporary inflatables, the Solo features a premium Grey Fibreglass shell that provides a medical-grade, non-porous interior for maximum hygiene. Encased in high-durability timber with three distinct finish options (Red Wood, Light Oak, or Anthracite Grey), this 102cm diameter plunge barrel is designed to be a focal point in any high-end home gym, garden wellness suite, or boutique spa.

While many basins sacrifice comfort for footprint, the Solo features an integrated 40cm seat, allowing for an ergonomic "seated plunge"—ideal for longer, controlled immersion sessions. As a standalone vessel, it offers the ultimate flexibility: use it as a traditional ice-fill bath for maximum "bio-shock" recovery, or utilise the pre-plumbed ports to add a high-performance chiller later.

Why the Solo Ice Bath is the 2026 Standalone Leader:

1. Hybrid Fibreglass & Timber Construction

The Solo eliminates the "leaking" and "rot" concerns of traditional all-wood barrels:

  • Hygienic Grey Shell: The fibreglass interior is incredibly easy to sanitise and stays "cool to the touch." Unlike wood-lined tubs, it won't absorb bacteria or odours over time.
  • 100cm Depth immersion: Designed for full-body coverage, ensuring the water reaches the vagus nerve (neck level) for maximum sympathetic nervous system activation.
  • Thermal Integrity: The combination of a solid shell and an insulated cover (included) slows down thermal gain, keeping your ice-chilled water colder for significantly longer than single-wall plastic tubs.

2. Ergonomic "Deep-Seat" Recovery

Cold therapy is only effective if you can stay in. The Solo is built for "The Long Chill":

  • 40cm Internal Seat: Allows the user to sit comfortably rather than crouching. This ergonomic posture helps regulate breathing and lowers the heart rate during the initial "cold shock" phase.
  • Matching Wood Steps: Ensures safe, dignified entry and exit, a critical feature for high-use wellness environments and older users focusing on longevity.
  • Social Aesthetic: Available in Anthracite Grey, Light Oak, or Red Wood finishes to match existing sauna installations or modern garden decking.

3. Future-Proofed "Chiller Ready" Ports

Even though this model is sold as a standalone ice bath, it is engineered for growth:

  • Plug & Play Plumbing: Includes pre-drilled ports that allow for the seamless addition of an external cooling/heating motor.
  • Dual-Use Therapy: Perfect for those who prefer the ritual of adding real ice, yet want the option to upgrade to a 3°C automated chiller system in the future.

Buying Guide +

Buying & Installation Guide BR Solo

Model: Solo | Luxury Fibreglass & Thermal Wood Plunge

1. Order Confirmation & The "Digital Survey"

Once your order is confirmed, the journey begins. Because the BR Solo is a rigid 1020mm diameter structure, it cannot be deflated or squeezed through tight gaps.

  • The Access Video: We require a short video of your garden or home access. We are looking for a clear path of at least 1050mm (allowing for hand-room).
  • The Corner Check: If your path has a 90° turn, we need to ensure the 100cm height of the bath can clear the "swing" of the corner.

2. Navigating Your Property

  • Gateway Width: Minimum 1050mm is mandatory.
  • Surface Prep: The Solo requires a flat, level surface. While it doesn't have the 1.5-tonne weight of a hot tub, when filled, it weighs approximately 400kg–500kg. Ensure your decking or patio is stable.
  • Indoor Use: If placing indoors, ensure you have a "wet-room" floor or a nearby drain, as splashing is inevitable during entry/exit.

3. Proactive Delivery Scheduling

  • The Booking: Our team will contact you to arrange a specific delivery date.
  • The "Hour-Out" Call: On the day of delivery, you will receive a personal courtesy call one hour before arrival. This ensures the site is clear and you are ready to guide our team to the final location.

4. Delivery & Professional Placement

  • White-Glove Positioning: Our technicians will carefully manoeuvre the fibreglass shell into position. We do not just "drop" the unit; we ensure it is aligned for the best aesthetics.
  • Step Integration: We will set up your Matching Wood Steps (Red Wood, Light Oak, or Anthracite Grey) in your preferred orientation.
  • Cover Fitting: We will demonstrate the correct fitment of the Insulated Cover, which is vital for maintaining your "static chill" and keeping debris out.

5. Commissioning: Your First Plunge

  • The Static Chill Logic: Since this model does not include a mechanical chiller, you are the "Thermal Engineer."
  • The Filling Ritual: Fill the bath to approximately 70% to allow for "bather displacement."
  • Hitting Your Target Temp: We recommend adding ice 30 minutes before your first plunge. The Grey Fibreglass shell and wood exterior act as a natural insulator to hold that temperature for your session.
  • No Electrician Needed: The Solo is a pure, non-electrical unit. There are no cables to trip over—just water, ice, and recovery.

6. Maintenance & 2026 Care

  • Shell Hygiene: The fibreglass interior is non-porous. Simply wipe down with a soft cloth after draining.
  • Timber Longevity: We recommend an annual oil treatment for the wood exterior to maintain its resistance to the British weather.
  • Drainage: The unit features a gravity-fed drain. Ensure the outlet is clear and directed toward a suitable runoff area.

Delivery & Installation Protocol BR Solo

Model: Solo | 100cm High Luxury Plunge

1. The Scheduling Phase (Prior to Arrival)

  • The Logistics Handshake: Once your order is processed and the "Digital Access Survey" (your video/photos) is approved, our logistics team will contact you directly.
  • Date Confirmation: We will provide a specific delivery date that works for your schedule. We do not use "estimated windows" that leave you waiting all week; we book a dedicated slot for your white-glove delivery.
  • Pre-Flight Check: 48 hours before your date, you will receive a final confirmation email or SMS to ensure the site is still clear and the foundation is ready.

2. Professional Arrival & Final Logistics

  • The One-Hour Courtesy Call: On your scheduled day, our team will call you one hour before arrival. This is the "final countdown" to ensure you are on-site and any temporary obstacles (like cars in the driveway) are moved.
  • Rigid-Hull Navigation: Because the Solo is a 1020mm wide fibreglass unit, it cannot be squeezed. We utilise specialised transit dollies to manage the 100cm height, navigating the "swing room" identified in your access survey to protect your property and the timber exterior.

3. Structural Placement & Levelling

  • Base Evaluation: When filled, the Solo holds approximately x. 350-400 litres, creating a total static load of nearly half a tonne. We verify that your foundation (concrete, patio, or structural decking) is perfectly level. A level base ensures an even water line and total stability for the 40cm internal seat.
  • Orientation Briefing: We consult with you on the best placement for the Matching Wood Steps. Whether you choose Red Wood, Light Oak, or Anthracite, we position them to showcase the grain and provide the safest entry point.

4. The "Static" Setup (No Electrician Required)

  • Zero-Cables: The Solo is a masterclass in simplicity. There is no hardwiring or plumbing to a consumer unit. Our technicians will verify that the gravity-drain is accessible for future water changes.
  • Component Validation: We fit the Insulated Cover and demonstrate how to secure it. This cover is your primary tool for temperature retention—we ensure it forms a tight seal to keep the "chill" in and debris out.

5. Commissioning: The First Fill

  • Purge & Clean: We perform a quick factory-dust wipe-down of the Grey Fibreglass shell before you begin your first fill.
  • The "Fill Line" Logic: We advise on water levels. To account for bather displacement in a deep immersion bath, we recommend filling to 70-75% capacity to prevent overflow.
  • Handover: We provide a "Zero-Trace" finish, removing all transit packaging and leaving you with a quick-start guide on fibreglass and timber care.

Our Installation Completion Checklist

  • Delivery Scheduled: Date confirmed and 48hr reminder sent.
  • Access Navigation: Manoeuvred through 1050mm+ clearance.
  • Structural Levelling: Base verified for half-tonne static load.
  • Step Integration: Steps positioned for safe, ergonomic entry.
  • Cover Validation: Insulated lid fitted and seal checked.
Warranty +

BR Solo Ice Bath — Manufacturer's Warranty

This manufacturer's warranty is provided by Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd (the manufacturer). Balance Recovery is your authorised BR Solo retailer and your first point of contact for any warranty claim.

Every BR Solo Ice Bath has been engineered to deliver exceptional performance, reliability and years of cold therapy enjoyment. To reflect our confidence in the quality of every BR Solo Ice Bath, Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd provides the following manufacturer's warranty for products installed for private domestic use within the United Kingdom.

This warranty applies to both BR Solo Ice Bath variants: the passive fibreglass and timber cold plunge (supplied without a chiller) and the fibreglass shell supplied with a Poolex O'Spa 3kW hybrid chiller. The chiller section below applies only where a Poolex chiller is fitted.

1 Year Warranty on the Ice Bath

The ice bath itself — including the fibreglass shell, structural body and treated timber cladding — is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship that affect the structural integrity of the product under normal residential use, for a period of 1 year from the original date of delivery.

Chiller Warranty (Where a Poolex Chiller Is Fitted)

Where your BR Solo Ice Bath is supplied and fitted with a Poolex O'Spa 3kW hybrid chiller, the chiller carries the Poolex heat-pump warranty against manufacturing defects only, as follows:

  • Heat pump: 2 years. The heat-pump unit is warranted against manufacturing defects for 2 years from the original date of delivery.
  • Compressor: 5 years. The compressor is warranted against manufacturing defects for 5 years from the original date of delivery.
  • Titanium heat exchanger: 10 years. The titanium heat exchanger is warranted against manufacturing defects for 10 years from the original date of delivery.
  • Parts only after year 2. Beyond the first 2 years, the chiller warranty is provided on a parts-only basis; labour, call-out and associated charges are not included.

The chiller warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

Important — frost damage is not covered. Frost damage to the heat pump is expressly excluded from this warranty. During periods of non-use, and particularly over winter, the customer must correctly winterise the heat pump and drain all residual water from the unit and its pipework. Damage caused by freezing, frost or a failure to winterise and drain the heat pump is not covered by this warranty.

Warranty Registration

To receive the full benefits of this warranty, your BR Solo Ice Bath should be registered within 14 days of delivery. Failure to register within this period may affect the processing of your claim. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Reporting Transit Damage

Any missing, damaged or incorrect parts should be reported to your authorised retailer within 3 days of delivery. Failure to report transit damage within this period may affect your entitlement to a warranty claim relating to those items.

Making a Warranty Claim

Please contact the authorised BR Solo retailer from whom your product was purchased — Balance Recovery (contact@balancerecovery.co.uk). If you are unable to obtain assistance from your retailer, please contact:

Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd Unit 9 Albert Martin Business Park Kirkby Road Sutton-in-Ashfield Nottinghamshire NG17 1GZ

Warranty claims should be submitted within 30 days of discovering the fault and should include:

  • Proof of purchase.
  • Product serial number (or photograph of the product identification label). Where a Poolex chiller is fitted, please also provide the chiller's serial and model number.
  • A description of the fault.
  • Photographs or videos showing the issue.
  • Installation photographs where requested.

Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd reserves the right to inspect the product or request additional information before approving any warranty claim. Where a warranty claim is accepted, Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd may authorise a repair or replacement of the defective component at its discretion. Customer-replaceable components may be supplied directly where appropriate. Replacement warranty parts are normally dispatched within 48 hours of an approved claim, subject to stock availability.

Where additional investigation is required, Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd reserves the right to appoint an authorised representative or independent inspector to assess the product. Travel or call-out charges may apply where the installation falls outside an authorised retailer's normal service area or where the reported fault is found not to be covered by this warranty.

Warranty Limitations

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only while the BR Solo Ice Bath remains installed at its original domestic installation address within the United Kingdom. The warranty period begins on the original date of delivery. The product must be installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the installation, operating and maintenance instructions supplied with the product.

This warranty does not cover defects, failures or damage resulting from:

  1. Normal wear and tear, cosmetic ageing, fading or surface marks.
  2. Improper installation, relocation or transportation.
  3. Misuse, abuse, negligence or accidental damage.
  4. Commercial, rental or public use.
  5. Failure to follow the installation, operating or maintenance instructions.
  6. Failure to maintain correct water quality or to clean and maintain the product as recommended.
  7. Fire, flooding, freezing, frost, power surges or other events beyond reasonable control, including any failure to correctly winterise and drain the Poolex heat pump during periods of non-use.
  8. Repairs or servicing carried out by anyone other than Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd or an authorised service representative.
  9. Unauthorised alterations or modifications.
  10. Continued use of the product after a fault has become apparent.
  11. The use of non-approved replacement parts or accessories.
  12. Damage occurring during transportation by anyone other than Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd or an authorised retailer.

This warranty is limited to defects arising from manufacturing or material faults and does not include labour charges, transportation, crane hire, removal, reinstallation or consequential losses unless required by applicable law. Replacement components supplied under this warranty remain covered only for the unexpired balance of the original warranty period.

Genuine Parts & Accessories

To ensure optimum safety, reliability and long-term performance, only genuine BR Solo replacement parts and Oasis Outdoor Living approved accessories should be used. Where a Poolex chiller is fitted, only genuine Poolex parts should be used for the chiller. The use of non-approved replacement parts or accessories may invalidate this warranty where they are found to have contributed to the failure.

Service Commitment

Upon receipt of all required warranty information and supporting documentation, Oasis Outdoor Living UK Ltd aims to acknowledge warranty claims within two working days. Our experienced after-sales team will keep customers informed throughout the warranty process and work to resolve approved warranty claims as quickly as possible.

Any missing, damaged or incorrect parts should be reported promptly on delivery (please refer to the product's manufacturer's warranty for the reporting timeframe). Where goods are faulty or damaged in transit, you will not be charged for return shipping, and we will arrange repair, replacement or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.
