Who it's for & sizing. The Glacier suits households and groups who want a design-led, year-round garden sauna with the added comfort of a separate changing / relaxation room. The sauna room comfortably seats around 3–4 people (whole-cabin person count  allow space around the external footprint of approximately 4046 × 2400 mm for clearance, ventilation and safe access, plus room to prepare a firm, level base.

1. Place your order

Choose any options (lighting and accessories) and complete your order — you'll receive an order confirmation with your details and reference number. Estimated delivery time is to be confirmed. Delivery is free kerbside delivery with unloading; you are welcome to send a short video or photos of your access route in advance so we can plan a smooth delivery.

2. Order processing & manufacturing

This sauna is made to order and handcrafted from premium Thermowood. Once your order is confirmed, your Glacier is built, quality-checked and securely packed as a palletised flat-pack complete kit. Your kit includes the cabin components, the Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW) heater and sauna stones, fixings, hardware and documentation.

3. Delivery organisation – FREE kerbside delivery & unloading

Your Glacier is delivered on a pallet to the nearest safe kerbside point at your property, with the pallet unloaded from the delivery vehicle by the delivery team. Delivery is scheduled in advance with a confirmed date. Please note: kerbside delivery does not include moving components beyond the kerbside, through your property, or positioning the sauna on its base. No crane is required.

4. Pre-installation preparation

Before delivery, prepare a firm, level, load-bearing base (e.g. a concrete pad or suitably-bearing slabs) sized to the footprint and able to support the cabin's weight (approx. 1200 kg, with clearance and ventilation around the unit. Arrange a dedicated single-phase 230V electrical supply for the heater, with correct cable sizing and a suitably rated isolator switch, prepared by a qualified electrician (see Electrical Supply).

5. Delivery day & unloading

The delivery team unloads the pallet at the kerbside. You are responsible for moving the components from the kerbside to the installation area and positioning them on the prepared base. Inspect all packaging and parts on arrival and report any missing or damaged items within 24 hours.

6. Installation options

The Glacier is supplied as a complete flat-pack kit and can be self-assembled (typically 1–3 days with two people, using the labelled sections and assembly manual) or fitted using our professional installation service at additional cost (price; Mainland UK, some outlying areas surcharged). The electrical connection is completed separately by a qualified electrician.

7. Finishing touches & safety check

Apply a breathable oil-based wood treatment inside and out — this is required to validate your warranty and to protect the Thermowood. Once the heater is connected, run a warm-up test to around 80 °C and check operation before your first session.

8. Enjoy your sauna & ongoing support

Once installed, the Glacier delivers a premium two-room wellness experience — a sauna room and a separate changing / relaxation space behind a full glass front. Self-assembled saunas include a 1-year warranty (2 years when professionally installed). As a made-to-order item it is non-refundable once production begins (see Return & Refund Policy). Treat and clean the timber, care for the glass, maintain ventilation and follow your heater's care guidance — our UK team is on hand for support.

The Balance Recovery Glacier is supplied as standard with a Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW) electric heater, complete with a full set of sauna stones — matched to the volume of the sauna room (the larger of the Glacier's two rooms; the changing / relaxation room is not heated).

Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW )

The Harvia Cilindro PC90 is an ideal and well-matched choice for the Glacier's sauna room. It offers reliable, even performance while remaining energy-efficient for this size of room. With a heating range suitable for approximately 5–8 m³, the Clindro PC90 is well sized for a sauna room comfortably seating around 3–4 people (exact sauna-room volume), striking an excellent balance between heat-up time and running efficiency.

Supplied With Stones

All Harvia Cilindro PC90 heaters are supplied with sauna stones included. The stones are stacked around the elements to store and radiate heat, and to produce löyly when water is ladled over them.

Electrical Connection

The Clindro PC90 runs from a dedicated single-phase 230V supply. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified electrician before your sauna arrives to ensure the electrical supply, cable sizing and isolator meet requirements. With an electric heater, the supply, cable and final connection are the customer's responsibility (see the Electrical Supply tab). Always follow the heater manufacturer's installation, operating and care instructions.

Balance Recovery Glacier Outdoor Sauna Electrical Supply

The Balance Recovery Glacier is supplied with a Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW) electric heater. Please read this section carefully before ordering and arrange a qualified electrician.

The electrical supply required depends on the kW rating of your sauna heater. The Clindro PC90 (9 kW) runs from a dedicated single-phase 230V supply — similar to those used for electric showers or cookers. Most domestic sauna heaters in the UK are connected to a single-phase 230V supply, and the Amps can be calculated using: Watts ÷ Volts = Amps.

For example: a 9 kW (6000 W) heater ÷ 230 V = approximately 26 Amps (typically on a 4.0 mm² cable).

Cable size depends on cable length, installation method and other on-site factors. Always defer to your electrician's judgment. An electric sauna heater of this type is normally hard-wired on a dedicated circuit with a suitably rated isolator switch, rather than run from a standard plug; the electrical supply, cable and final connection are the customer's responsibility.

All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician in full compliance with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671). Completing the installation correctly also helps maintain your warranty protection.

Balance Recovery Glacier Outdoor Sauna Delivery & Installation

1. Delivery – FREE Kerbside Delivery & Unloading. The Balance Recovery Glacier includes free UK kerbside delivery with unloading as standard. This includes delivery of your sauna on a pallet to the nearest safe kerbside point at your property, unloading of the pallet from the delivery vehicle by the delivery team, and delivery scheduled in advance with a confirmed date. Please note: kerbside delivery does not include moving components beyond the kerbside, through your property, or positioning the sauna on its base. No crane is required. You are welcome to send a detailed video or photos of your property and access routes in advance so we can help ensure a smooth delivery.

2. Lead time. This sauna is made to order. Production lead time is to be confirmed, after which delivery is arranged. Delivery times quoted are estimates; in the event of any unexpected delay, our team will contact you promptly with an update.

3. Installation options. The Glacier is supplied as a complete flat-pack kit, including the Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW) heater and sauna stones. Choose self-assembly — a detailed assembly manual is included, with components in clearly labelled sections (typical assembly time 1–3 days with two people) — or our professional installation service at an additional fixed cost (price). Coverage: Mainland UK; additional charges may apply for certain outlying areas (e.g. Channel Islands, Ireland, parts of Scotland and Wales, Isle of Wight). Professional installation includes on-site assembly and final structural checks, handover ready for electrical connection — the electrical connection itself is not included and must be completed by a qualified electrician.

4. Electrical requirements. The heater is included in the kit. Consult a qualified electrician for a dedicated single-phase 230V supply, correct cable sizing and a suitably rated isolator switch, in compliance with BS 7671 (see Electrical Supply).

5. Important notes. Prepare a firm, level, load-bearing base before delivery, sized to the footprint and able to take the cabin's weight (approx. 1200 kg), with adequate clearance and ventilation. Base / foundation preparation is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed. Report any missing or damaged items within 24 hours; uncertified electrical work may void your warranty.

Warranty OF Balance Recovery Glacier Outdoor Sauna 

The Balance Recovery Glacier is covered by a comprehensive manufacturer's warranty against structural and manufacturing defects arising during normal use. The warranty is valid for:

• 2 years from the date of handover for professionally installed saunas
• 1 year for self-assembled saunas, provided all installation and finishing guidelines are followed

Important care instruction (mandatory for warranty). Immediately after assembly, apply a breathable oil-based wood treatment to the timber inside and out. This protects the Thermowood and is required to keep your warranty valid.

Reporting missing or defective parts. Inspect your delivery on arrival and photograph any missing or defective components, then email contact@balancerecovery.co.uk within 24 hours. The sauna must be installed on a level, pre-prepared foundation.

What is covered. Structural integrity and manufacturing defects, and missing components reported within the stated time. Electrical components, including the heater, are covered by their individual manufacturer warranties.

What is not covered. Assembly errors, improper storage, transport damage, incorrect installation, lack of the required timber finishing, the natural movement and colour change of real timber, and damage to glass or from external factors. The warranty may also be invalidated by failure to inspect on delivery, installing components known to be faulty, or providing incorrect or incomplete information.

Your sales invoice will act as proof of warranty, clearly stating the start and end dates of your coverage.

Balance Recovery Glacier Outdoor Sauna Return Policy

Returns and Refunds Policy for Made-to-Order Saunas. Each Balance Recovery sauna is custom-built to order and cannot be resold or restocked, so we are unable to offer returns or refunds once production has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Non-returnable items. Once production commences, orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded unless the product arrives defective or damaged.

Damaged or faulty products. Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery if your sauna arrives damaged or faulty. We will then arrange a repair, replacement or refund at our assessment.

Right to cancel (before fabrication). You may cancel your order before fabrication begins, subject to an administrative fee.

As bespoke, made-to-order items, our saunas are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, though your rights are retained if the item is faulty. To discuss any issue, please contact contact@balancerecovery.co.uk.
