Product Description -

Balance Recovery Fjord Sauna & Hot Tub — Thermowood Spa Cabin with Sauna, Round Hot Tub & Full Glass Wall

The Balance Recovery Fjord is a premium outdoor spa cabin that combines a traditional sauna and a round hot tub in a single Thermowood capsule cabin — a genuine outdoor sauna with hot tub for the garden. Approximately 5.09 m long, the cabin is divided internally into two separate rooms, each with its own heating system: a classic sauna at one end and a large round fibreglass hot tub at the other, framed behind a full glass wall.
The rounded-rectangle "capsule" form is clad in horizontal thermally-modified Thermowood with 40 mm / 28 mm walls, and topped by a Katepal black bituminous-shingle roof pierced by two flues — one for each heater. Approximate external dimensions are 5090 × 2230 mm (L × W) with a height of around 2130–2230 mm. It is supplied as a flat-pack complete kit, palletised for delivery and assembled on your base, with an assembled weight of around 1,200 kg. Two oval windows in the back wall and round gable portholes add natural light and style.
At the sauna end, two-tier / L-shaped Alder benches face a Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW electric heater topped with sauna stones for an authentic dry-heat löyly. At the hot-tub end, a round fibreglass hot tub (internal water diameter approx. 1.8 m) is warmed by its own wood-fired heater — an internal stove with a tall mesh burn-guard and its own flue.
Crucially, the hot tub and both heaters are included as standard — the sauna room with its included Harvia heater and stones and the tub room with its included wood-fired heater — so the Fjord arrives as a complete sauna and hot tub combo rather than a shell to fit out. Please read the Heater Information and Electrical Supply tabs before ordering.
The front/gable wall is offered in more than one style — a full glass wall (this version) or a wooden wall with an oval window for greater privacy — so the Fjord can be tailored to your garden and how overlooked it is. Made to order, with free kerbside delivery and unloading.

Safety & Usage
Sauna bathing and hot-water soaking are wellness activities for healthy adults. Stay hydrated, limit each session to what is comfortable for you, and allow time to cool down between the sauna and the tub. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, or any other medical concern, please consult your GP before use. The electric sauna heater and its stones and the wood-fired hot-tub heater, its flue and guard all get very hot (burn risk) — keep children and combustible materials clear, follow each manufacturer's operating instructions, and handle ash and embers from the wood-fired heater safely. Never light the hot-tub heater with the tub empty — always fill it with water first. Never leave the hot tub uncovered and unsupervised where children can reach it. Supervise children at all times, keep the cabin ventilated, maintain the tub water as advised, and site the unit on a firm, level base able to take the weight.

Buying Guide +

Balance Recovery Fjord Sauna & Hot Tub — Outdoor Spa Cabin Buying Guide

Who it's for & sizing. The Fjord suits households and groups who want a complete garden spa — a sauna and a hot tub together — in one design-led, year-round cabin. Allow space around the external footprint of approximately 5090 × 2230 mm for clearance, ventilation and safe access, plus room to prepare a firm, level base and to route water and drainage to the hot-tub end. Advertised capacity is.

1. Place your order
Choose your Fjord options — front/gable-wall finish (full glass wall or wooden wall with an oval window) and any accessories — and place your order; your sauna room comes with a Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW heater and stones, and the tub with its wood-fired heater, as standard. Estimated production lead time is. Delivery is kerbside only; you are welcome to send a video or photos of your access route in advance. You will receive an order confirmation with your reference number.

2. Order processing & manufacturing
This spa cabin is made to order and handcrafted from premium Thermowood. It is supplied as a flat-pack complete kit, palletised for delivery, including the Thermowood cabin, the round fibreglass hot tub, both heaters ( Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW electric sauna heater + sauna stones, and the wood-fired hot-tub heater), fixings and documentation.

3. Delivery organisation — FREE kerbside delivery & unloading
Your kit is shipped on a pallet to the nearest safe kerbside point at your property, and the delivery team unloads the pallet from the vehicle — free of charge. This does not include moving components beyond the kerbside, through your property, or positioning them on the base, and no crane is required. Delivery is scheduled in advance with a confirmed date.

4. Pre-installation preparation
Prepare a firm, level, load-bearing base (e.g. a concrete pad) able to support the assembled cabin of approximately 1,200 kg, sized to the footprint with clearance and ventilation. Arrange a dedicated single-phase supply for the 9kW sauna heater with correct cable sizing and a suitably rated isolator (see Electrical Supply), and plan a water supply to fill the tub and a drainage route to empty it.

5. Delivery day & unloading
The team unloads the pallet at the kerbside; you are responsible for moving the components from the kerbside to the installation area and assembling them on the base. Inspect all packaging and parts on arrival and report anything missing or damaged within 24 hours.

6. Installation options
Assemble the Fjord yourself using the illustrated manual, or add our Professional Installation Service which you can request a quote for (mainland UK / England; surcharges apply for the Channel Islands, Ireland, and certain parts of Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Wight). Professional installation covers on-site assembly and final checks; the electrical connection for the sauna heater is completed separately by a qualified electrician.

7. Finishing touches & safety check
Treat the timber inside and out with a breathable oil-based wood treatment immediately after assembly — this is mandatory to validate your warranty. Fill the hot tub with water before first lighting its wood-fired heater, then run a warm-up test on both heaters, bringing the sauna up to around 80 °C.

8. Enjoy your spa & ongoing support
Your Fjord is ready — a sauna and a hot tub together in one design-led Thermowood cabin. Self-assembled units include a 1-year warranty (professionally installed units, 2 years). As a made-to-order item it is non-refundable once production begins (see the Return & Refund Policy tab). Care for the timber, glass, tub water and both heaters, and our team is on hand for ongoing support.

Heater Information +

Balance Recovery Fjord Sauna & Hot Tub Heater Information

The Balance Recovery Fjord includes two heaters as standard — one for the sauna and one for the hot tub — because it is built as two separate rooms, each with its own heating system. The sauna is heated by an electric Harvia heater supplied with stones; the hot tub is warmed by its own wood-fired heater with a flue.

The Sauna Heater — Harvia Cilindro PC90 (9kW)
The sauna room is heated by a Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW electric heater, topped with sauna stones (both included as standard), for a traditional dry-heat löyly. With a heating range suitable for approximately 5–8 m³, the Vega PC90 is well matched to the Fjord's sauna room and sized for around a 4-person sauna, offering reliable performance while remaining energy-efficient for the space. The exact Harvia model is confirmed against the final sauna-room volume . The PC90 runs from a single-phase 230V supply and must be wired in by a qualified electrician (see the Electrical Supply tab); all Harvia Cilindro heaters are supplied with stones included. We strongly recommend arranging the electrical supply, cable sizing and isolator before your Fjord arrives.

The Hot-Tub Heater — Wood-Fired (Included)
The hot tub is warmed by its own dedicated wood-fired heater, included as standard — an internal stove with a tall mesh burn-guard and its own flue, heating the water off-grid with no mains supply required. The exact output (kW) and model are . Always fill the tub with water before lighting the heater — never run it dry. The flue installation and safe operation of the wood-fired heater are the customer's responsibility; always follow the manufacturer's lighting, operating and care instructions.

Sauna Stones, Water & Customer Responsibility
The Harvia sauna heater is supplied with sauna stones included. With the electric sauna heater, the electrical supply, cable and final connection are the customer's responsibility and must be completed by a qualified electrician (see the Electrical Supply tab). With the wood-fired hot-tub heater, the flue installation and safe operation are the customer's responsibility. Filling, treating and draining the hot-tub water, and preparing the water supply and drainage, are also the customer's responsibility. Always follow each heater manufacturer's installation, operating and care instructions.

Electrical Supply - IMPORTANT +

Balance Recovery Fjord Sauna & Hot Tub Electrical Supply

The Fjord's sauna room is heated by a Harvia Cilindro PC90 9kW electric heater, which requires a dedicated electrical supply. The hot tub is warmed by its own wood-fired heater and needs no mains electricity for heating (unless you add an optional electric accessory). Please read this section carefully before ordering and arrange a qualified electrician.

The electrical supply required depends on the kW rating of the sauna heater. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified electrician before installation. Typically, a dedicated supply is required — similar to those used for electric showers or cookers. Most domestic sauna heaters in the UK are connected to a single-phase 230V supply, and the Amps can be calculated using: Watts ÷ Volts = Amps.

For example: the 9kW (6000W) Harvia Cilindro PC90 ÷ 230V = 26 Amps.

Cable size depends on cable length, installation method and other on-site factors, so always defer to your electrician's judgment. The 9kW Harvia Cilindro PC90 is normally hard-wired on a dedicated circuit with a suitably rated isolator switch rather than run from a standard plug; the electrical supply, cable and final connection are the customer's responsibility.
All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician in full compliance with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671). Completing the installation correctly also helps maintain your warranty protection.

2. Installation options
The Fjord arrives as a complete flat-pack kit including both heaters and the fixings, so you can choose self-assembly or professional installation. Set the cabin on a firm, level, load-bearing base (e.g. a concrete pad) sized to the footprint, with adequate clearance and ventilation.

4. Water, filling & drainage
Once the cabin is assembled and positioned on the base, the hot tub is filled on site with water from your own supply, and drained via a drainage route you prepare. Base / foundation preparation, water supply and drainage are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed. Always fill the tub before lighting its wood-fired heater.

5. Important notes
Have your level, load-bearing base ready before delivery, and report any missing or damaged items within 24 hours. For the electric sauna heater, ensure the supply is prepared by a qualified electrician to BS 7671 — uncertified electrical work may void your warranty.

Warranty +

The Balance Recovery Fjord Sauna & Hot Tub Warranty

The Balance Recovery Fjord is backed by a comprehensive warranty against structural and manufacturing defects arising during normal use. The warranty is valid for:

  • 2 years from the date of handover for professionally installed spa cabins
  • 1 year for self-assembled spa cabins, provided all installation and finishing guidelines are followed

Important care instruction: immediately after assembly you must treat the timber inside and out with a breathable oil-based wood treatment. This is mandatory to validate your warranty and to protect the Thermowood against the weather. Report any missing or defective parts with photographs to contact@balancerecovery.co.uk within 24 hours of delivery, and install the cabin on a level, pre-prepared foundation.
Please note: the warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or negligence. Issues resulting from water exposure beyond normal use, running the hot-tub heater dry, impacts, scratches, incorrect electrical or stove installation, frost damage, the natural movement and colour change of real timber, glass, or other external factors are not included. Electric components, including the Harvia heater, are covered by their individual manufacturer warranties.
Your sales invoice will act as proof of warranty, clearly stating the start and end dates of your coverage.
