A swim spa is a hybrid wellness unit that combines the aquatic exercise benefits of a swimming pool with the hydrotherapy features of a premium hot tub. Due to their dimensions (often ranging from 4 to 6 metres in length), swim spas cannot be wheeled through a standard garden gate. Delivery typically requires specialist lifting equipment. Depending on your property’s access, this will involve either a Hiab crane lorry reaching over a low boundary or a dedicated mobile crane to safely lift the unit directly over your house and lower it onto your prepared concrete base.

While they hold more water than a hot tub, premium swim spas are engineered for exceptional energy efficiency. They feature multi-layered thermal insulation within the cabinet and come equipped with heavy-duty, lockable thermal covers that trap heat when not in use. Additionally, you do not keep a swim spa as hot as a standard hot tub; fitness temperatures are usually maintained at a cooler, highly efficient 28°C to 30°C, keeping daily running costs manageable.
