Instead, their goal was to create an architectural masterpiece—a bespoke salt sauna that utilised premium, raw salt rocks integrated directly into the structure itself. We were tasked with engineering an environment that offered not just deep thermal heat, but a profound, multi-sensory wellness treatment unlike anything else on the market.
Architectural Halotherapy: The Seven Unique Salt Structures
To bring this unprecedented vision to life, we stepped away from conventional sauna panelling and engineered seven distinct, individual wall structures within the spacious cabin.
Premium Raw Integration
Rather than laying uniform, polished bricks, we sourced large, premium, jagged salt rocks and meticulously crafted them directly into these seven structural pillars by hand.
The Therapeutic Edge
This design is not merely an aesthetic triumph; it serves a profound therapeutic purpose. By using raw, unpolished salt rocks, the minerals' massive surface area is exposed to heat. We crafted expansive, two-level benches that sweep cleanly through the cabin. This layout allows multiple users to stretch out or comfortably host groups without ever feeling confined. Furthermore, the deeply toasted Thermo Alder ensures the seating remains incredibly durable and comfortably warm to the touch, physically grounding the body while the salt therapy goes to work.
Illuminating the Minerals: A Curated Lighting Experience
In a space defined by natural minerals and rich woods, the lighting must be flawless. We designed a dual-lighting system that interacts beautifully with the room's textures to induce immediate, profound relaxation.
On-Demand Spotlights
Recessed spotlights were strategically placed across the ceiling. These can be easily adjusted on demand, allowing the occupants to command the mood—from a bright, energising morning session to a dim, meditative evening wind-down.
Under-Bench Ambience
To elevate the experience, we integrated warm, concealed LED strips beneath the dark Alder benches. When activated, this lower-level lighting washes softly across the floor and catches the jagged edges of the seven salt pillars. This causes the raw salt rocks to glow ethereally from within. This specific lighting design is crucial; it eliminates harsh overhead glare and creates a cocoon of warm, multi-dimensional light that completely melts away mental fatigue.
