A kit removes the guesswork by bundling components that are engineered to work perfectly together, often at a more competitive price point than buying items individually.

While contents vary by model, a standard electric kit generally includes:

• The Heater Unit: Correctly sized for your room volume.
• Sauna Stones: The correct weight and type of stone (e.g., Olivine Diabase) required for that specific heater.
• Control Panel: Either built into the unit or a separate digital keypad with a power box.
• Sensors: Temperature sensors to regulate heat and ensure safety.

• Why? The length of cable required varies for every installation (distance from consumer unit to sauna).
• What you need: You will typically need high-temperature silicone rubber cable to connect the heater to the power supply or control box. A wood-burning kit is designed to safely vent smoke through your sauna roof. These typically include:

• The Wood Stove: The central heating unit.
• Twin-Wall Flue System: Insulated stainless steel chimney pipes (essential for passing through combustible timber roofs safely).
• Rain Cap: To prevent water entering the flue.
• Flashings & Collars: To seal the roof penetration against the weather.

Heat Shielding: Protective bedding or surround plates to protect the floor and walls from intense radiant heat.

Sizing a kit is just as important as sizing a standalone heater.

• Electric Kits: No. All electrical work in a "special location" (like a sauna) must be carried out by a qualified electrician to comply with UK Building Regulations (Part P). They must certify the hardwired connection.
