HUUM heaters are renowned for their award-winning Nordic design, which prioritises a "less metal, more stone" philosophy. Unlike traditional box heaters that hide the rocks, HUUM units use a stainless steel cage to expose a massive quantity of stones. While many heaters use jagged rocks, HUUM specifically recommends rounded Olivine Diabase stones for their electric and wood-burning ranges.

Yes. HUUM is a market leader in smart sauna technology. By pairing your heater with the UKU Wi-Fi or UKU 4G control system, you can manage your sauna entirely from the HUUM mobile app. This allows you to pre-heat the sauna while you are at work or the gym, so it is ready the moment you step through the door.

• Safety Note: To use the remote start function legally and safely in the UK, your sauna door must be fitted with a door sensor (usually included in the Wi-Fi kit) to ensure the heater cannot start if the door is left open.

Most domestic HUUM electric heaters (up to 9kW/10.5kW) are versatile and can be wired for either single-phase (230V) or three-phase (400V).

• Home Use: A standard UK home will typically connect via single-phase. However, because the stone capacity is large, heat-up times can be longer, so ensure your electrician installs the correct amperage breaker (e.g., approx. 40A for a 9kW unit).
• Commercial/Large Units: The larger floor-standing models (12kW+) generally require a dedicated three-phase connection.

The "LS" or Tunnel models are designed for users who want the ambiance of a wood-fired sauna without the mess of ash inside the hot room.

• How it works: The stove sits inside the sauna, but the firebox door extends through the wall into an adjacent room (or outside). This allows you to stoke the fire from a changing room or lounge area, keeping the sauna air clean and free of debris while enjoying the glow of the fire through the glass.

In the UK, HUUM heaters typically come with a manufacturer’s warranty of 2 to 5 years for private domestic use, provided the installation is certified by a qualified electrician. For commercial environments, this warranty period is usually 1 year.

Because HUUM heaters are often floor-standing and hold a large mass of hot stones, the surface temperature is high. While not always mandatory for private use, we highly recommend installing a wooden safety railing (or guard). HUUM manufactures specific wooden arcs that attach seamlessly to their heaters, preventing accidental contact while enhancing the stylish appearance.
