Warranty Overview

We want every customer to feel confident in the quality of our saunas. Below is a clear explanation of the warranty coverage provided across all models, including what is included, what is excluded, and the process for making a claim.

Woodwork Warranty – 1 Year:

All saunas come with a 1-year warranty on woodwork for the original purchaser.

This covers:

Manufacturing defects

Material defects

Rot or incipient decay on the exterior wood that would make the sauna unusable

Please note:
This warranty does not cover natural surface changes such as mould, colour variation, or weathering that do not affect the structural integrity of the sauna.

Electrical & Heater Warranty – 1 Year

All electrical components, including:

Sauna heaters

Infrared units

A 1-year warranty, effective from the date of delivery, covers electronic controls.

Warranty Start Date

Your warranty begins on the date your sauna is delivered.
Your invoice or delivery confirmation supports this date.

Eligibility Requirements

To ensure your warranty remains valid, the following conditions must be met:

The product must be installed and used in accordance with the official installation instructions, user manual, and maintenance guidelines.

Installation instructions are included with the sauna and available online.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover:

The warranty does not apply in the following situations:

Use & Location

Public or rental saunas (unless agreed in writing)

Indoor-only saunas installed outdoors

Transport & Storage:

Damage caused by transport, improper storage, or incorrect construction

Storing an unassembled sauna for more than one year

Products stored in unsuitable environments (excessive humidity, extreme temperature swings, or temperatures above 120°C)

Improper Installation or Modification

Altered parts (drilled, sawn, modified, or disassembled)

Incorrectly assembled or improperly used saunas.

Repairs or modifications carried out by anyone other than the manufacturer or an authorised technician

Natural Wood Characteristics:

The following natural features are not considered defects:

Variations in wood grain or colour

Knots, minor cracks, or splits

Rough textures

Wood movement caused by changes in temperature or humidity

These natural characteristics do not affect the performance or durability of the sauna.

Normal Wear & Tear:

General cosmetic wear that results from regular use

Age-related changes that do not impact functionality

External Causes:

Damage caused by fire, flooding, vandalism, or other unforeseen events

How to Make a Warranty Claim:

If you experience an issue covered by the warranty:

Contact Balance Recovery, and we will file a warranty claim on your behalf with our manufacturer.

We will then advise on the next steps.

Returns and Refunds Policy for Made-to-Order Saunas:

We take pride in delivering high-quality, made-to-order saunas designed to meet your unique specifications. Because each sauna is individually crafted, our returns and refund policy reflects the bespoke nature of these products.

Why Returns Are Limited for Made-to-Order Saunas:

Each sauna is custom-built according to specific customer requirements. As these items cannot be resold or restocked, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once the production process has begun.
Please review all details of your order carefully before confirming, including dimensions, features, and finishes.

Our Policy in Detail:

Customisation Acknowledgement: By placing an order, you acknowledge that your sauna is a bespoke product created to your specifications.


Non-Returnable Items:

Once production has commenced, cancellations, returns, or refunds are not permitted unless the product arrives defective or damaged.


Damaged or Faulty Products:


If your sauna arrives with visible damage or a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.


We will assess the issue and may provide a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.


Order Review: We strongly recommend verifying all measurements and customisation details before confirming your order.


Right to Cancel (Before Fabrication): You may cancel your order before fabrication begins, subject to an administrative fee.

Bespoke and made-to-order items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation period for online purchases.

2. Pre-Installation Preparation

To ensure a smooth installation day, a few steps must be completed beforehand:

The Carbon 180 is for indoor use only.
Please ensure your chosen location is:

Clear and easily accessible

Level and dry

Large enough for the sauna footprint plus working space around it

✔ Confirm Access

If installation is purchased, installers must have a clear route from the drop-off point to the sauna’s final location indoors.

To assist our team, we require:

A short video walkthrough from your driveway/entrance to the installation room

This allows us to identify tight corners, stairs, or access limitations in advance.

✔ Limited Access & Special Equipment

If your home requires:

A HIAB or crane

Stair-climbing equipment

Additional manpower

Specialist handling tools

3. Electrical Supply Requirements (Customer Responsibility)

The Carbon 180 operates on a standard 230–240V household supply.
The specific power load will vary based on the model’s configuration, and it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a suitable connection is available.

Because every property is different, a qualified UK electrician must verify:

That your existing circuit can safely handle the sauna’s load

That your wiring and consumer unit meet BS 7671 UK Wiring Regulations

That any required upgrades or adjustments are completed safely

The sauna must not be used until your electrician confirms that the electrical setup is fully compliant with the relevant regulations.

4. Delivery

✔ Unloading Included

Your sauna arrives flat-packed in secure, clearly labelled boxes.

Our delivery team will:

Unload all components from the vehicle.

Place them safely at your drop-off point (e.g., driveway or entrance)

If installation is not purchased, it is the customer’s responsibility to move the boxes indoors.

5. Professional Installation (Optional Upgrade)

You can upgrade to have the Carbon 180 professionally installed by our experienced sauna installation team.

When installation is booked, our team will:

Move all sauna components to the installation room.

Assemble the Canadian Hemlock cabin with precision.

Install infrared heating panels, walls, benches, doors, and fittings.

Position the sauna correctly.

Ensure a clean, accurate, and professional finish.

✔ Electrical Work Not Included

We do not perform any electrical tasks, including:

Wiring

Mains connection

Circuit work

Electrical testing or certification

Your qualified UK electrician must complete all electrical work.

6. After Installation

Once the sauna is assembled:

Your electrician will verify the electrical connection (if required)

The sauna receives a final check.
