How It Works

How It Works – Carbon 120 Infrared Sauna

We’ve designed the entire process of receiving, preparing, and installing your Carbon 120 Infrared Sauna to be simple, smooth, and stress-free. Below is a clear guide that shows exactly how everything works, from production to your first infrared session.

1. Precision Production & Craftsmanship

Every Carbon 120 is built using premium Canadian Hemlock, a strong, smooth, and low-resin timber widely preferred for indoor infrared saunas. Hemlock offers excellent thermal stability, a refined appearance, and a naturally calming aroma—making it an ideal choice for an immersive wellness experience.

During production:

The Hemlock panels are precision-cut for a perfect fit.

All low-EMF carbon infrared heating panels are securely installed.

Electrical components are safety-tested and quality-inspected.

The heating layout is engineered to deliver even, consistent infrared coverage.

Each unit undergoes strict final checks before dispatch.

This ensures your sauna arrives ready for a safe, efficient, and premium installation.

2. Pre-Installation Preparation

To ensure a smooth installation day, a few simple steps must be completed beforehand:

✔ Prepare the Installation Space

The Carbon 120 is for indoor use only.
Please ensure the location is:

Clear and accessible

Level and dry

Large enough to accommodate the sauna footprint plus working space

✔ Confirm Access

Your installers (if installation is purchased) must have a clear path from the drop-off point to the sauna’s final location indoors.

To help us assess access accurately, we require:

A short video walkthrough from your driveway/entrance to the installation room

This allows our team to identify tight corners, stairs, or obstacles ahead of time.

✔ Limited Access & Special Equipment

If your home has restricted access and requires:

A HIAB or crane

Stair-climbing equipment

Extra manpower

Specialist handling tools

Additional charges may apply.
We will always confirm this with you before delivery.

3. Electrical Supply Requirements (Customer Responsibility)

The Carbon 120 operates on a standard 230–240V household supply and draws 1945W of power.

Although the electrical requirement is modest, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a suitable and compliant supply is available.

Because every property is different, a qualified UK electrician must verify:

That the existing circuit can safely handle the load

That the wiring and protection meet BS 7671 UK Regulations

That any adjustments or upgrades are carried out safely

The sauna must not be used until your electrician confirms the electrical setup is fully compliant.

4. Delivery
✔ Free UK Delivery

We offer free standard delivery across the UK.

Remote Area Surcharges
Some locations may require an additional fee, including:

Channel Islands

Ireland & Northern Ireland

Certain regions of Scotland

You will always be notified before your order is confirmed.

✔ Unloading Included

Your sauna arrives flat-packed in secure, clearly labelled boxes.

Our delivery team will:

Unload all components from the vehicle

Place them safely at your drop-off point (e.g., driveway or entrance)

If installation has not been purchased, it is the customer’s responsibility to move the boxes indoors.

5. Professional Installation (Optional Upgrade)

You can upgrade to have the Carbon 120 professionally installed by our experienced sauna installation team.

✔ What Our Installers Do

When installation is booked, our team will:

Move the sauna components to the installation room

Fully assemble the Canadian Hemlock cabin

Install all infrared heating panels, walls, benches, doors, and fittings

Position the sauna perfectly

Ensure a clean, accurate, and professional build

✔ Electrical Work Not Included

We do not perform electrical work.
This includes:

Wiring

Mains connection

Circuit adjustments

Electrical testing or certification

Your qualified electrician must complete all electrical work.

6. After Installation

Once the sauna is assembled:

Your electrician verifies the electrical connection (if required)

The sauna undergoes a final check

You can begin enjoying the Carbon 120 as soon as all electrical safety checks are complete

We recommend keeping all packaging until everything has been inspected and tested.

Your Carbon 120 Infrared Sauna, crafted from premium Canadian Hemlock and featuring advanced low-EMF carbon heaters, is now ready to transform your home into a private wellness sanctuary.

* UK Electrical Supply Guide – Carbon 120 Sauna

The Carbon 120 sauna uses high-efficiency carbon infrared heating panels with a total electrical load of 1945W. To ensure safe operation within the UK, the unit must be connected to an electrical supply that complies with current national wiring regulations.

1. Electrical Requirements

Total Power Load: 1945W

Supply Voltage: 230–240V AC, 50Hz (UK mains)

Recommended Setup: A dedicated circuit to ensure stable, reliable performance

2. Compliance With UK Regulations

All installation work must comply with:

BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) – current edition

Part P of the Building Regulations

Any local authority requirements

This ensures the sauna is installed safely and in accordance with UK regulations.

3. Installation Considerations

Every home’s electrical layout is different, with variations in:

Consumer unit configuration

Circuit load capacity

Cable routes and accessibility

Earthing and bonding conditions

Because of these differences, the exact installation method cannot be standardised. A qualified, registered electrician (NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA, etc.) must assess your specific property and determine:

Appropriate cable size

Correct protective device (MCB/RCBO)

Whether hardwiring or a fused connection unit is required

Safe isolation point

RCD protection and overall compliance

4. RCD Protection

For safety, the sauna must be connected to a circuit protected by a 30mA RCD, in accordance with UK electrical safety requirements.

5. Socket vs Hardwired Connection

Although the sauna’s power consumption is under 2kW, making a plug connection theoretically possible, a hardwired setup on a dedicated fused spur or circuit is generally recommended due to the continuous operating load.

Your electrician will confirm the correct approach based on your home’s electrical capacity.

6. Important Safety Notice:

Do not use extension leads for sauna installation.

Do not attempt DIY electrical work.

Always seek professional advice because every household electrical system is unique.

Heater Type: Carbon Infrared
Operating Temperature: 35–60°C
Power Output: 1945W

The Carbon 120 uses high-efficiency carbon infrared panels designed to deliver deep, even, and comfortable heat. Infrared technology warms the body directly, promoting effective sweating, improved circulation, and muscle relaxation at lower temperatures than traditional saunas.

Its heater arrangement ensures consistent heat coverage throughout the cabin, reducing cold spots and creating a smooth, soothing experience.

With a total electrical load of 1,945W, the Carbon 120 operates with strong energy efficiency while maintaining stable and reliable performance. The system heats quickly, uses power evenly across the panels, and is engineered for safe, consistent electrical operation.
